Transport cops publish photo of man they believe can assist with Johnstone train incident

The British Transport Police (BTP) has published a photo of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an ongoing investigation into an incident on a train in Renfrewshire.

Officers are hoping the man pictured can assist them with their enquiries relating to an incident that occurred on board a service between Glasgow Central and Johnstone railway station on Wednesday, March 1.

They are urging the man shown or any members of the public who recognise him to contact them.

They’ve described him as being 5ft 11in tall with short blue hair and a short brown beard. He has a helix piercing and a lobe piercing on the left ear and was wearing a khaki green T-shirt, black puffer jacket, black trousers and black boots.

A BTP spokesperson said: “British Transport Police can be contacted on 0800 40 50 40 or by texting 61016 – with reference 2300023887

“Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
