Families can go on a quick getaway in cities across the North and Scotland for the price of a pint of milk in the TransPennine Express flash ticket sale.
Thousands of advanced purchase tickets are available to customers with prices starting at £1 for adults and 50p for children.
The sale began on Thursday 26 February and is already selling fast. The deal applies to tickets for travel between Thursday 27 February and Saturday 16 May, inclusive.
TransPennine trains connect Liverpool with historic cities like Edinburgh and York, as well as bustling hubs like Leeds and rural retreats like Windermere in the Lake District.
When we checked, we found £1 tickets available from Liverpool to Leeds in March, and £1 tickets from Liverpool to Edinburgh and Glasgow to Liverpool in May.

With this promotion, tickets must be purchased at least one day prior to travel and Advance Purchase on the day tickets are not included.
Tickets must be purchased through the TPE website , or the TPExpress app with code SALE.
