Translink statement after Glider involved in crash on Andersonstown Road

Translink has issued a statement after a glider bus was involved in a crash with a car in West Belfast.

The incident occurred just before 11am on Thursday, November 25.

It happened on Andersontown Road towards Finaghy Road, close to the Circle Petrol filling station.

Both out off town lanes were obstructed by road traffic police officers, with direct traffic in the area experiencing delays, according to Trafficwatch NI.

In a statement later that day, Translink confirmed nobody had been injured in the crash.

A Translink spokesperson said: “A Glider, travelling outbound on the Andersonstown Road, was involved in a collision with a car at around 10.55am this morning.

“There were no injuries reported.

“The road was fully re-opened within approximately half an hour.”
