Translink announces additional services to Belfast from Tyrone and Fermanagh

Translink has announced additional services to the 261 bus routes which will see more journeys towards Belfast from Tyrone and Fermanagh.

The changes, which will come into effect from mid-April, will see an additional service from the Ballygawley Roundabout departing at 7am.

Additional peak evening services will be put on from Belfast to Dungannon, departing the Europa Bus Centre at 4.50pm and 5.30pm.

An express X261 service to Enniskillen will also now depart from Belfast at 5.20pm daily.

Here's a full list of what is included in the new bus services:

  • An additional service to Belfast departing at 7am from Ballygawley Park & Ride
  • Additional evening peak services from Belfast to Dungannon departing at 4.50pm and 5.30pm

  • An express X261 service to Enniskillen departing Belfast at 5.20pm

  • The 261 departing Enniskillen at 7.45pm will connect with the 273 in Dungannon at 9.00pm, travelling to the Europa Buscentre in Belfast.

  • The 273 leaving Belfast Europa Buscentre at 8.50pm will connect with the 261 in Dungannon at 9.45pm, for an onward journey to Enniskillen.

  • There will also be an express X273 service departing from Omagh at 6.30am.

Translink’s Dermot McGirr, Ulsterbus Service Delivery Manager for Dungannon, Omagh and Enniskillen said the new journeys will see improved public transport services to the Tyrone and Fermanagh areas.

“We hope these timetable changes provide even more convenient travel options for our customers who will also benefit from comfortable journeys on board our modern coaches with access to free WiFi," McGirr said.

"Choosing public transport is also better for the environment and we look forward to welcoming more people on board these services later this month."
