default

What to look out for

The January transfer window is underway with many clubs around Europe trying to give their squads fresh impetus. In the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund have already signed the Norwegian teenage sensation Erling Braut Haaland while in Serie A in Italy, Juventus have paid £30m for the Swedish attacking midfielder Dejan Kulusevski.

In England, José Mourinho at Tottenham will want to reinforce his squad while trying to hold on to Christian Eriksen, who will be allowed to leave on a free transfer in the summer. Across town, Mikel Arteta at Arsenal needs defensive cover after the injury to Calum Chambers.

The clubs in Spain’s La Liga and France’s Ligue 1 will also be on the outlook for smart investments whether it is at the top with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and PSG fighting for the title or at the bottom trying to avoid relegation. For example, Toulouse, 20th in Ligue 1, have already snapped up Ruben Gabrielsen from Molde to try to improve a leaking defence.

Thomas Lemar, Gabriel Barbosa, Moussa Dembélé and Dani Olmo are other names who could be on the move this month so make sure you keep up to date with all the transfers in the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1 on our transfer interactive.
