Transfer rumours: Leeds want striker, West Brom handed boost

A cloud of uncertainty continues to hover over the Championship, and indeed the rest of England's top four leagues with the coronavirus pandemic continuing to halt action.

But while clubs face an uncertain future, both on the field and off, many are still putting together shopping lists for the summer.

With that in mind, we have taken a look at the latest transfer involving Nottingham Forest 's Championship rivals...

Ndiaye keen to leave Stoke

Stoke City midfielder Badou Ndiaye is eager to stay in Turkey after a loan spell with Trabzonspor this season.

As reported by Stoke Live, Ndiaye is keen to stay at the Super Lig club but the Potters’ asking price of €8m could prove to be an issue with the current economic crisis.

The 29-year-old is under contract at Stoke for two more years and has impressed at Trabzonspor this season.

During the football shutdown, Ndiaye has taken the chance to have surgery on a knee injury and is aiming to be back for the Super Lig’s provisional return date in June.

Baggies handed Pereira boost

West Bromwich Albion have been handed another 30 days to pay £8.25m for on-loan attacker Matheus Pereira.

Pereira has impressed in the Championship this season after signing from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon on a temporary deal.

The Brazilian has scored six goals and assisted 12 in 33 league games for the Baggies this season and Slaven Bilic is understandably keen to sign him on a permanent deal.

Albion had until the end of May to sign him permanently under the rules of his loan deal but with the coronavirus pandemic, Sporting have now extended the deadline until June 30.

Leeds target available for transfer

Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United are interested in signing Metz star Habib Diallo, and the French club’s president has confirmed the Whites’ target will be sold this summer.

The Metz striker has scored 12 goals this season in Ligue 1 and the club’s president has admitted he will be sold in the summer.

“He is 24-years-old, it is time for him to pursue his career elsewhere,” Bernard Serin told FranceBleu.

“Our objective is to sell Habib Diallo and leave more room in the attack for Ibrahima Niane.”
