Transfer news - live updates: AS Roma agree deal for Malcom, Chelsea want Anthony Martial, United fight for Willian - latest deals and reports

Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal set to be busier than ever.

Liverpool enjoyed success in the Champions League this year and their quest to end their league title drought in 2019 will be bolstered by the arrival of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig. He will not be the last new face on Merseyside, however, with Monaco's Fabinho already in. Roma's Alisson is next and could Lyon's Nabil Fekir follow? At United Jose Mourinho looks set to spend big again as he targets reinforcements in his bid to haul in record-breaking Manchester City next season. He's got Fred but another central midfield player is high on his list with a big money move for Real Madrid's Gareth Bale not out the question.

For the first time in over two decades Arsenal head into the offseason with a new manager at the helm. That man is former PSG boss Unai Emery after a stunning 11th hour change of heart at the Emirates and he already has four new signings and plenty more on the way with more on his shopping list. Chelsea have a new manager themselves after appointing Maurizio Sarri with the futures of Eden Hazard and Willian high on his agenda but across London Mauricio Pochettino won't be leaving Tottenham Hotspur after signing a new five-year deal.

We will have all the latest news, views, rumours, gossip and done deals right here so don't touch that dial.

England international Izzy Christiansen has left Manchester City to join European champions Lyon.

The 26-year-old midfielder enjoyed a successful four-year stint with City, winning the FA Women's Super League, FA Women's Cup and two Continental Cups.

"All at Manchester City thank Izzy for her contribution over the past four years and wish her the best of luck with her new experience," read a statement on mancity.com.

Christiansen, who began her career with Everton and has also played for Birmingham, scored 18 times in 61 appearances for City and was named PFA Women's Players' Player of the Year in 2016.

The move to France sees her link up with former City team-mate Lucy Bronze.

England defender Bronze joined Lyon in 2017 and helped them win a third successive Champions League title in May.

LIVERPOOL NEWS
16:20

Loris Karius has not ruled out leaving Liverpool this summer having lost his status as Jürgen Klopp’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Klopp confirmed this weekend that new arrival Alisson, the world’s most-expensive ‘keeper following his £66m signing from Roma, will start the new season as Liverpool’s No 1.

Karius’ position at Liverpool has come under great scrutiny since his errors in May’s Champions League final handed victory to Real Madrid and now, he must settle with a role on the bench.

Speaking after the final whistle in Charlotte on Sunday, Karius admitted the arrival of Alisson was far from ideal before casting doubt over his long-term future.

LIVERPOOL NEWS

Loris Karius has hit out at those who “take joy in seeing other people fail” after facing yet more criticism for another goalkeeping error.

The 25-year-old was at fault for the final goal in Liverpool’s 3-1 friendly defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Sunday night, parrying Christian Pulisic’s late shot into the path of scorer Jacob Bruun Larsen.

Karius narrowly avoided conceding from a separate error in the first half. Dortmund’s Maximilian Philipp failed to convert from long range after intercepting the goalkeeper’s botched attempt at a clearance.

Karius, a £4.7m signing from Mainz in 2016, has come under great scrutiny since a pair of costly mistakes in May’s Champions League final and last week, he lost his status as Jurgen Klopp’s No 1 to new arrival Alisson.

After the final whistle in Charlotte on Sunday, Karius took to Instagram to defend himself from the criticism he has faced throughout the summer.

WOLVES NEWS
15:05

Wolverhampton Wanderers are considering triggering Adama Traore’s release clause to beat Huddersfield Town to the signing of the Middlesbrough winger.

The former Barcelona forward is as speedy and tricky as they came, with some metrics marking him out as one of Europe’s top dribblers.

And though his final product could still do with some work, the 22-year-old Spaniard is considered a diamond in the rough by both Wolves and the Terriers, who have both made their interest known.

ARSENAL NEWS
14:40

Chuba Akpom is heading for the Arsenal exit, with a £2million return to Belgian side Sint-Truiden the likeliest outcome for the 22-year-old striker.

Akpom spent the second half of last season on loan at Sint-Truiden where he impressed, scoring six goals in 16 Jupiler League games.

Although Akpom returned to Arsenal for pre-season, he is not in Unai Emery's plans and Arsenal are looking for roughly £2m for his permanent signature.

Akpom has just one year remaining of the lucrative deal he signed at the Emirates in February 2015. Since then Akpom has gone on loan spells to Nottingham Forest, Hull City and Brighton and Hove Albion.

EVERTON NEWS

Everton are braced for a third bid from RB Leipzig for Ademola Lookman.

The Bundesliga side have so far had two offers rejected to sign the 20-year-old but are preparing a third bid this week to break the deadlock.

Everton want £20million for the player they paid Charlton Athletic an initial £8million for in January 2017.

So far Leipzig have only offered £12m plus add-ons and then £14m plus add-ons, both of which Everton have rejected.

But Leipzig are expected to make a third bid this week, which they hope will be close enough to Everton’s valuation to sign the player.

Former England captain John Terry has denied reports he has retired from football.

Reports on Sunday claimed the 37-year-old had decided to hang up his boots after leaving Aston Villa at the end of last season.

But the former Chelsea defender denied that was the case, saying he was "weighing up" his options.

Jose Mourinho has warned Anthony Martial that ‘you do not always get what you want in life’ as the Manchester Unitedforward attempts to engineer a move away from the club.

Philippe Lamboley, Martial’s agent, revealed last month that the 22-year-old wished to leave Old Trafford after spending the last two years on the fringes of Mourinho’s side.

Martial, who joined from Monaco in an initial £36m deal in 2015, failed to agree terms on a new United contract last season and his current deal is set to expire next summer.

Lazio are reportedly eyeing up Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey as a replacement for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Newcastle winger Matt Ritchie could reportedly be in line for a return to Bournemouth.

Rafa Benitez wants King, but Newcastle want to pay less, meaning Ritchie could be used as a makeweight, the paper says.

CHELSEA NEWS

Chelsea are weighing up a £65million offer from Barcelona for forward Willian, the Daily Mail says.

The Blues are said to prefer the prospect of selling the Manchester United target abroad, rather than to a Premier League rival.

Richarlison is undergoing a medical with Everton ahead of his proposed transfer from Watford.

It emerged last week that Everton were closing in on signing the Brazilian forward, who played for Toffees boss Marco Silva at Vicarage Road last season.

And it is understood Richarlison was at the club's Finch Farm training ground having a medical on Monday morning as they looked to finalise a deal worth up to £50million.

MANCHESTER UNITED NEWS
12:05
England and Leicester star Harry Maguire, Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld and Milan's Leonardo Bonucci have been earmarked as potential defending targets by United, the Daily Mail reports.

Landing Maguire, 25, could cost United up to £65million and would likely see Mourinho have to sell one of his centre-backs, the paper says.

United reportedly enquired about Alderweireld in May, while Bonucci is said to be on a watch list.
