Welcome to the Evening Standard’s LIVE coverage of the summer transfer window.
Gareth Bale's representatives were today working to find the Wales star an escape route from Real Madrid.
There is strong interest in Bale, 30, from three clubs in the Chinese Super League: Beijing Guoan, Shanghai Shenhua and Jiangsu Suning. All are willing to match, or improve, his current £350,000-a-week wages.
However, United do not intend to offer Gareth Bale an escape route from Real Madrid, and have no interest in a part-exchange involving Paul Pogba.
Mauricio Pochettino has not ruled out a Tottenham bid for Bale, while the Telegraph reports that Beijing Guoan want to make him the highest-paid player in China.
As for Arsenal, RMC Sport reports that Laurent Koscielny has agreed to joins Rennes, while the Gunners are also set to beat Spurs to Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.
