Transfer news, rumours LIVE - Cristiano Ronaldo in Juventus hint, Arsenal talks with midfielder, Manchester United twist, Liverpool latest gossip, updates

The Premier League’s summer transfer window is open with Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal set to be busier than ever.

Liverpool enjoyed success in the Champions League this year and their quest to end their league title drought in 2019 will be bolstered by the arrival of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig. He will not be the last new face on Merseyside, however, with Monaco's Fabinho already in. Stoke's Xherdan Shaqiri could be next or even Real Madrid's Marco Asensio? At United Jose Mourinho looks set to spend big again as he targets reinforcements in his bid to haul in record-breaking Manchester City next season. He's got Fred but another central midfield player is high on his list with a big money move for Gareth Bale not out the question. Could Cristiano Ronaldo join him?

For the first time in over two decades Arsenal head into the offseason with a new manager at the helm. That man is former PSG boss Unai Emery after a stunning 11th hour change of heart at the Emirates and he already has two new signings and plenty more on the way with a new central midfielder next on his shopping list. Chelsea are close to appointing a new manager themselves but across London Mauricio Pochettino won't be leaving Tottenham Hotspur after signing a new five-year deal.

We will have all the latest news, views, rumours, gossip and done deals right here so don't touch that dial.

Live Updates

ARSENAL NEWS
11:30
Ot looks as though West Ham have got their man, with a deal to sign Jack Wilshere set to be announced on Monday.

The Mirror claims that Wilshere has agreed a three-year deal worth around £100,000-a-week, with his new home set to be confirmed after leaving Arsenal at the end of the season.

MANCHESTER CITY NEWS
11:15
Another forward on the move is Riyad Mahrez, whose protracted transfer from Leicester to Manchester City is set to get the go-ahead next week, according to the Daily Mail.

The paper said the deal could be worth up to £60million.

CHELSEA NEWS
11:00
One club who will have a big say on how the summer transfer window plays out is Paris Saint-Germain. They could yet choose to sell one of Neymar or Kylian Mbappe if Real Madrid come calling, and if they do they will be armed with more money than ever before and ready to bring in their next big-name signing.

That man, according to Goal, is Chelseamidfielder N'Golo Kante, but the France international is being valued at £100m if he is to leave the club this summer.

Now this is an interesting one.

We've brought you the latest on Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Juventus, and while nothing had been confirmed yet, it looks as though there will be a development in this saga sooner rather than later.

But few of us expected that development to be about Ronaldo's pant...

His CR7 underwear range has had an online update, and the new banner looks suspiciously like the Juventus colours, while a separate image of the Allianz Stadium has also been uploaded.

Could an announcement be imminent?

10:30
There were rumours, possibly sparked by Richard Keys *ahem*, that Juventus would unveil Cristiano Ronaldo this weekend.

That simply isn't going to happen as the Portuguese is on holiday with his family following his World Cup exploits.

But talks over a potential move to Juve - as well as signing a new Real Madrid contract - remain ongoing, and according to the Daily Mail Madrid will make Ronaldo address fans to announce that he wasn't forced out of the Bernabeui, should he leave.

MANCHESTER UNITED NEWS
10:15
Manchester United are being linked this morning with another World Cup name in Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic, and once again it appears to be a cut-price deal.

Juventus are currently looking at ways to revamp their attack - more on that shortly - and one player who could be on his way out is Mandzukic. With interest in Matteo Darmian, the Mirror claims that a swap deal could be on the cards this summer.

MANCHESTER UNITED NEWS
10:00
Manchester United have already entered one transfer battle with Liverpool as the race to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon simmers throughout the summer, but it looks as though Jose Mourinho is ready to go toe-to-toe with Jurgen Klopp in another face-off to land one of the World Cup's brightest stars.

With Xherdan Shaqiri looking to leave relegated Stoke City, Mourinho is eyeing a low-cost bid for the Swiss international, according to the Sun.

Shaqiri is available for £12m and after impressing in Russia, his stock appears to have risen onto the Old Trafford radar.

ARSENAL NEWS

If there's one thing that's clear, it's that Arsenal are not done with their summer business by any stretch.

With Emery determined to strengthen his midfield, and despite the north London club looking certain to land Uruguayan Lucas Torreira, the Gunners are plotting a move for Barcelona's Andre Gomes.

However, that would mean selling a number of current players as Emery is close to using up all of the £50m that he was given to spend in the transfer window.

Our chief football writer Miguel Delaney has the latest:
ARSENAL NEWS
09:30
Arsenal are reported to have opened talks with Sevilla midfielder Steven Nzonzi, a long-term target that stretches back to Arsene Wenger's time in charge.

It appears that interest has carried over to his replacement Unai Emery, and with the Spaniard pressing on with the club's transfer plans, Sky Sports claims that negotiations are currently taking place over a move for the 29-year-old.

09:15
What appeared to be just another rumour at the start of the week now looks to be a very realistic proposition of Juventus moving for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Our chief football writer Miguel Delaney can reveal that Ronaldo is open to a move to Italy in order to test himself in a new league, while Real Madrid are considering a rejuvenation of what is an ageing squad.

Furthermore, we can reveal that Manchester United enquired about the prospect of re-signing Ronaldo, only to be informed that talks with Juventus are at a genuine and advanced stage.

What the papers say

Jack Grealish is set to return to the Premier League with Tottenham - but a whole host of clubs are looking to secure the signature of the talented Aston Villa midfielder, reports the Daily Mirror. Steve Bruce's side missed out on the chance to return to the top flight due to a play-off final loss to Fulham, with Villa needing to raise funds to mount another promotion challenge, the paper says.

Another midfielder reported to be on the move is Jorginho, who is closer to signing a deal with Manchester City, the Manchester Evening Newsreports. The 26-year-old Napoli man's move to the Etihad looks more likely after Fabian Ruiz signed for the Italian club, the paper says.

Xherdan Shaqiri is confident he will be playing Premier League football next season, the Daily Mirror reports. The Swiss World Cup star is currently on the books at Stoke, but will leave following their relegation and is wanted by Liverpool, according to reports.

Antonio Conte's replacement in the Stamford Bridge hot seat will be announced next week, with former Empoli and Napoli head coach Maurizio Sarri expected to take the reins, the Daily Mail says.

RB Leipzig are keen on signing striker Ademola Lookman from Everton, but the Toffees have already rejected a £12million bid, according to the Daily Mirror.

Gianluigi Buffon: The 40-year-old Italian is set to sign a contract with Paris St Germain, according to Le Parisien.
