The Brazilian-born Italy international has signed a five-year contract with the Blues, and will wear the No 5 shirt this season.

Liverpool's move for Frenchman Nabil Fekir could be back on the table - at least on the player's side of negotiations.
The Mirror reports that Fekir has told Lyon he wants to not only leave the club, but join Liverpool specifically. This goes against what Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas has said publically after he pulled the plug on the move, but it appears that talks could resume one Fekir has returned from the World Cup.

Barcelona have already been linked with making an offer for a Chelsea player today in Willian, but reports in Italy suggest this afternoon that they are also keen on landing influential midfielder N'Golo Kante.
According to Sky Italia, Barcelona will offer a cash-plus-player deal in return of the France international, and that could see the Spanish side offer Andre Gomez in return - the midfielder who has already attracted interest from Arsenal.

Chelsea are also mulling over a decision on Willian, with the Brazilian wideman wanted by both Manchester United and Barcelona this summer.
The Daily Mail claims that the Blues receieved a second offer from Barca of £60m, and a a decision is yet to be taken on whether to cash-in on the long-serving Blues midfielder.

After electing to sell Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus for £88m, Real Madrid are ready to bring in the next big name to the Bernabeu and have set their sights on Chelsea's Eden Hazard.
The Daily Mail claims that Madrid are preparing a whopping £150m offer to test Chelsea's resolve in the hope of prising the Belgian away from Stamford Bridge, and it's a move that could also have a heavy say in Maurizio Sarri's future as Chelsea boss.

With Gareth Bale set to answer United's attack issues, Mourinho is understood to be targeting Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld as a solution for his defensive problems.
The Yahoo Sport claim that United remain keen on the Belgian centre-back, and that Spurs are open to selling him after he fell out-of-favour with Mauricio Pochettino last season.
However, no progress is expected on the deal until Belgium end their World Cup campaign in Russia.

It may be all change at Chelsea, but some things remain the same - namely Antonio Conte being furious.
According to The Telegraph, Conte is "absolutely disgusted" with how his Chelsea departure has been handled. The Italian was made to return for the start of pre-season training, only to be given his marching orders at the end of the week, and his replacement appears to have been in the pipeline for quite some time given it took Sarri fewer than 24 hours to fly to London, negotiate his terms and be unveiled.

Manchester United are yet to make the big statement signing that we have grown used to, but it looks as though Ed Woodward and Jose Mourinho are simply limbering up for an assault on their rivals to try and strengthen their title challenge this season.
Reports in Spain claim that United have renewed their efforts to land Gareth Bale this summer, with AS reporting that Bale's admission that he does not know where he'll be playing this season giving them the clearest hope yet that they can bring him back to the Premier League.
With Sky Sports also claiming that Bale will hold face-to-face talks with new Real Madrid manager Julen Lopegetui in the coming days, a development on Bale's future looks imminent.

With Chelsea set to announce the £57m signing of Napoli midfielder Jorginho following the appointment of Sarri, attention are already turning to who else the Italian could sign.
The Daily Mail reports that the club have already held talks with Juventus this summer over a move for striker Gonzalo Higuain, and any deal between the two clubs is likely to include Alvaro Morata returning to Italy in the opposite direction.
