Sunday December 23 transfer news and rumours

One of the biggest lines this morning is Turkish Super Lig side Istanbul Basaksehir are considering a bid for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil.

Newly appointed caretaker boss at Manchester United Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is considering Bournemouth striker Josh King as a transfer target, according to The Sun.

Chelsea meanwhile are said to be planning a January bid for Lyon's Nabil Fekir - who almost joined Liverpool in the summer.

The Blues are also in the market for a new striker however and could move for Robert Lewandowski or Jamie Vardy to solve their woes up front.

Juventus are leading the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey - who will leave the Gunners at the end of the season.

Chelsea have revived their interest in AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain, which could see Alvaro Morata leave the club.

Plus, Thierry Henry believes he has the edge in the race to sign Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea for Monaco.

On Chelsea, the Guardian report that Ruben Loftus-Cheek will not be allowed to leave on loan in January.

The Independent report that Arsenal are interested in swapping Mesut Ozil for Isco, who has dropped down the pecking order at Real Madrid.

Talking of Real Madrid, Manchester United have not already met with Zinedine Zidane about talking the manager job on a permanent basis, claim the Manchester Evening News.

Chelsea have revived their interest in Gonzalo Higuain ahead of the January window, reports the Daily Mail.

Roma are preparing to make a £25m January swoop to sign Crystal Palace star Patrick van Aanholt, according to The Sun.

Arsenal will consider sending Mesut Ozil out on loan next month, reports The Times.

Valencia plan to send loan striker Michy Batshuayi back to Chelsea in January, according to The Sun.

The Mirror reports Mario Balotelli is free to leave Nice in January after falling out with Nice boss Patrick Vieira.

Thursday December 20 transfer news and rumours

Manchester United will press ahead with their January transfer plans despite sacking Jose Mourinho this week, Standard Sport understands.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are weighing up a January move for young Legia Warsaw goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki.

Barcelona want to sign Valencia defender Jeison Murillo on loan next month.

But Barca and Tottenham will face competition from Bayern Munich for Ajax star Matthijs De Ligt, who the Liga club hope to sign permanently in the summer.

Interim Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be given a £50m transfer kitty for next month's window, according to the Mirror.

Alvaro Morata would 'return to Italy in a heartbeat' with a move to AC Milan reportedly on the cards, reports The Sun.

Monday December 17 transfer news and rumours

Man Utd have triggered a one-year extension on Anthony Martial's contract. The 23-year-old's deal was due to expire next summer but the Frenchman is now tied to United until the summer of 2020.

Juventus are reportedly ready to step up a move to resign for Paul Pogba after he was left on the bench against Liverpool.

Pogba has not started for Man Utd since their 2-2 draw with Southampton at the start of December, and Italian publication Tuttosport say that has not gone unnoticed in Turin.

Barcelona has apparently received an offer worth in the region of £58million from an unknown Chinese Super League club for forward Malcom, according to AS.

Another potential departure from Barca, midfielder Andre Gomes – currently on loan at Everton – is said to be attracting interest from Juventus, according to the Sun. Tottenham are also said to admirers of the Portuguese.

That tees us up nicely to Merseyside now, where Everton have been linked with a move for West Ham’s Reece Oxford by the Daily Mail.

Finally, a potential defensive reinforcement at Old Trafford! Man Utd are said to have opened talks with Turkish side Galatasaray for defender Ozan Kabak. That one’s in the Daily Star.
