Transfer news - LIVE updates: Liverpool's Nabil Fekir move off, Manchester United target to decide after World Cup, plus Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs latest and more

The Premier League’s summer transfer window is open with Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal set to be busier than ever.

Liverpool enjoyed success in the Champions League this year and their quest to end their league title drought in 2019 will be bolstered by the arrival of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig. He will not be the last new face on Merseyside, however, with Monaco's Fabinho already in. Lyon's Nabil Fekir was next on Jurgen Klopp's hitlist, but the deal is now off. At United Jose Mourinho looks set to spend big again as he targets reinforcements in his bid to haul in record-breaking Manchester City next season. A new left-back and central midfield player are high on his list with a big money move for Real Madrid's Gareth Bale not out the question. Could Cristiano Ronaldo join him?

For the first time in over two decades Arsenal head into the offseason with a new manager at the helm. That man is former PSG boss Unai Emery after a stunning 11th hour change of heart at the Emirates and he already has one new signing and more on the way. Chelsea could well be looking for a new manager themselves but across London Mauricio Pochettino won't be leaving Tottenham Hotspur after signing a new five-year deal. Or will he after Zinedine Zidane stepped down at Real Madrid?

We will have all the latest news, views, rumours, gossip and done deals right here so don't touch that dial.

Mario Gotze has opened the door to a possible move to Liverpool this summer after refusing to rule out a reunion with former manager Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp managed Gotze at Borussia Dortmund where together they won the Bundesliga and got to the final of the Champions League before he joined Bayern Munich in 2013.

Arsenal will need to trigger Steven N’Zonzi’s £35m release clause if they want to sign the midfielder, Sevilla’s director of football has said.

“Is that a rumour or is it true?” he posed to Radio Seville .

“Has Unai Emery called you? Well, as a successful man, Unai Emery knows what line the club keeps.

“If he wants N’Zonzi, he will have to call and put the bid in. And the bid is the clause. If you put that bid in, then there are no more negotiations [over the fee].”

Manchester United target Matthijs De Ligt has admitted it is an “honour” to have been linked with Jose Mourinho’s side, alongside the likes of Barcelona and Juventus.

“I’m not in touch with anyone yet,” de Ligt told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato after Holland’s 1-1 draw with Italy on Monday night. “I’m here with my national team, focused on this.

“Of course, it’s a real honour to be associated with some big clubs but it does not change for me, I just have to continue to play well.

“I hope I can grow as much as possible and that’s why it’s important to play every week at high levels.

“Who would I choose between Juve, Barcelona and United? It’s difficult, they’re all great teams.

“We must think about it, understand what is the best step to do. At the moment I do not know, I’m on vacation and I can think about it.”

Aston Villa have slapped a £30million price tag on midfielder Jack Grealish and won't sell him on the cheap despite their mounting financial problems.

The cash-strapped midlands club are determined they will not be held to ransom. Grealish is Villa's best option of raising a quick lump sum of cash as they look for £40million to comply with Financial Fair Play rules, but they will hold firm on their valuation.

Xherdan Shaqiri has been offered to Liverpool and Everton as his representatives look to find him a Premier League club.

Jose Mourinho is now unlikely to sign a left-back in this transfer window, and is becoming more concerned with devoting that area of his budget to a back-up for Romelu Lukaku.

Manchester United have had long-standing interest in both Alex Sandro of Juventus and Kieran Tierney of Celtic and, with Luke Shaw having repeatedly struggled to assert himself, the manager had been expected to push for an upgrade.

The Independent has now been told that Mourinho is prepared to put off a signing in that area and stick with Shaw and first-choice Ashley Young, the latter of whom was one of United's best performers last season.

Here is that Lyon statement on Fekir:

“Olympique Lyonnais confirms that the tri-party negotiations with Liverpool and Nabil Fekir for the transfer of the Lyon captain have not succeeded and that Olympique Lyonnais have decided to put an end to these negotiations at 20:00 [CET] on Saturday night.

“Although Liverpool have been the priority of a possible transfer of Nabil, and subject to other proposals consistent with the interest of Nabil and Olympique Lyonnais and from ambitious clubs, Olympique Lyonnais is delighted to be able to count on the presence of our captain, who is a leading player for the 2018/19 season when the club will play in the Champions League.”
