It's no secret that Spurs are keen on Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, with the former Paris Saint-Germain star catching the eye once again in Spain and representing an enticing target at 23 years old.
According to The Mirror, Spurs are ready to press on with that interest and make a whopping £70m offer - which would smash the previous record set earlier this month in the £55m spent on Tanguy Ndombele.

United are expected to make an official bid for Fernandes in the coming days and believe they are leading the race for the 24-year-old, but the sudden interest from their Premier League rivals may just hasten up that move in order to avert any risk of him heading to north London.

Pep Guardiola has confirmed Manchester City are in the market for a new centre-back.
The Premier League champions are hoping to find a replacement for Vincent Kompany, who left the club after last season’s treble success.
But although City have been linked heavily with a big-money move for Leicester’s Harry Maguire, Guardiola insists it is not vital a signing is made.
“We will see,” the Spaniard said. “We are looking for some names but at the same time we have three centre-backs who can play there and we have two young players in the second team who can help us."

Arsenal and Everton are reportedly interested in signing Juventus striker Moises Kean.
The Toffees have seen a bid rejected for the 19-year-old, according to the Mirror, but have been given fresh hope of still landing the teenager.
With Juve struggling to offload Mario Mandzukic or Gonzalo Higuain, they could instead sell Kean. Any deal would include the option to buy back the striker at a later date.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is confident Wilfried Zaha will be staying put at Selhurst Park this summer.
Asked about the situation on Friday night, Hodgson said: “He has not spoken to me. I don’t know if he’s spoken to the club [asking to leave].
“As far as I’m concerned, he is coming back, he is our player and I’ve been given no information that the club is interested in selling him at the moment.
“I’m just expecting him back, looking forward to working with him and seeing some of the things he can do for us.
“I think he has got another 10 days or another week of holiday. I think he is back after we play Bristol City and before we play Hertha Berlin - that gives him his three weeks off.
“If he wants to come back earlier we will be very happy to see him.”

Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri is keeping tight-lipped about the club's links to Paul Pogba.
It's been reported that the Serie A side is considering bringing their former played back to Turin. But Sarri gave little away when asked about the matter in Singapore.
"I am not the technical director, so I do not know [if Pogba will come to Juventus]," Sarri said. "I like him very much, but I don't know the situation.
"Paul Pogba is a Manchester United player, so I don't want to talk about that."

West Brom have completed the signing of Nigeria international Semi Ajayi from Rotherham.
Ajayi, who can play in defence or midfield, has signed a four-year contract with the Baggies for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £1.5million.
The 25-year-old is West Brom's third summer signing, following Kenneth Zohore and Croatian midfielder Filip Krovinovic as new head coach Slaven Bilic continues to rebuild the squad.
"It's a great opportunity for me. I want to play at the highest level and I have joined a club with the ambition to get there," Ajayi said on the West Brom website.
"I want to play my part in helping the team get promoted because that is definitely the target."
