Transfer news from Wednesday: Man Utd, Arsenal and Tottenham rumours as PSG prepare sensational Neymar swap with Real Madrid or Barcelona

The transfer window remains open across many of Europe's top leagues despite the Premier League firmly shut for bringing names in.

That doesn't mean English clubs are done thinning their squads, with Christian Eriksen linked with a move to La Liga with either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid.

While Paul Pogba remain eager to leave, with Juventus one of his preferred destinations, and the Old Lady are trying to push Paulo Dybala out the door - perhaps to Paris Saint-Germain, who are ready to sell Neymar, with Barcelona and Real Madrid ready to make a splash.

Welcome to Wednesday's Independent Transfer News Live where there are still many deals to be done across Europe.

The Premier League clubs will still be picking up their phones concerning potential sales.

While Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and others remain eager to spend before the deadline in their respective leagues.

The biggest deal left on the table is Neymar.

With PSG ready to cash in on the Brazilian, that leaves Barcelona and Real Madrid, with the former the clear favourite.

The French champions would like a couple players in exchange, as they value the Brazilian at €250m.

Mundo Deportivo believe Barcelona have put Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic into the deal, while they also claim the French side like Nelson Semedo.

A deal, regardless, appears to be reaching a conclusion.

Atletico will finalise a £60m move for Rodrigo today.

Diego Simeone has his final signing it would appear, with the Valencia forward arriving, seemingly ending their interest in James Rodriguez.

It should allow Angel Correa to move to AC Milan for around £50m.

Juventus could slim down their squad before the deadline.

With AS Monaco looking to raid the Old Lady with moves for Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi.

While Bayern are keen on bringing Mario Mandzukic back to Bavaria, claim Gazzetta.

Hoffenheim are signing Diadié Samassekou from RB Salzburg for around €14m.

The Malian midfielder will pen terms on a five-year contract.

The 23-year-old is seen as one of the best midfielders in Austria and will now take his next step in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim, rather than Leipzig - the parent club of Salzburg.

Real Betis are closing in on the signing of Borja Iglesias for a fee of around €28m.

After 17 goals in his debut La Liga campaign with Espanyol, Betis have swooped.

€20m will be paid up front and a further €8m will arrive next year.

Luka Jovic could sensationally leave Real Madrid on loan.

The news emerges from Marca and Serbian sources just weeks after his €60m move to the Bernabeu from Eintracht Frankfurt.

With Karim Benzema set to remain the main man for Zinedine Zidane, reports suggest the French coach has not been impressed by Jovic and could allow him to leave in order to gain regular first team action.

Sevilla have sold Wissam Ben Yedder to Monaco for around £37m.

The two clubs have agreed a separate deal for Rony Lopes to move in the opposite direction.

Ben Yedder, 29, scored 70 goals in three seasons with the Andalusians.

Barcelona's latest offer for Neymar is €80m plus Philippe Coutinho.

That's according to Mundo Deportivo, who believe that is simply not enough in the eyes of PSG.

They do not value Coutinho at €120m and will not consider loan offers with options to buy.
Ajax star Donny van de Beek admits he is staying, probably, after a summer of speculation.

The Dutch midfielder was linked with Real Madrid and previously Spurs after playing a key role in the run to the Champions League semi-finals.

“Nothing is certain yet, but there's a good chance I'll continue here” van de Beek said, per Marca.

“Whatever happens, Real Madrid and Ajax are both fantastic clubs. I cannot complain.”

Valencia will replace Rodrigo Moreno with Andre Silva.

AC Milan want to sell the Portuguese, who struggled on loan at Sevilla.

Now Valencia appear likely to be his next step after previous interest from Monaco and Leicester City.
Galatasaray are discussing a deal with Roma to take Steven N'Zonzi.

The Serie A side appear ready to cut their losses just a year on from taking the French midfielder to the capital for €26.5m.

But after failing to impress and the arrival of Paulo Fonseca, N'Zonzi looks set for the exit with a season-long loan initially, according to Sky Sport Italia.

If Neymar ends up at Barcelona, then Inter could look to sell Mauro Icardi to PSG.

That would potentially end Juventus' hopes of selling Paulo Dybala this summer, with the player already rejecting a move to Manchester United.

Roma and Napoli have shown interest in the Argentine, who has been frozen out by Antonio Conte, as well as having his No 9 shirt taken away and handed to Romelu Lukaku.

Tuttomercatoweb claim Paris could be the solution Icardi is looking for, as well as providing relief for PSG as they prepare to move on their Brazilian superstar.
Mario Balotelli looks set to return to Italy with Brescia.

The free agent left Marseille this summer and could link up with the Serie A newcomers.

The former Man City and AC Milan striker has rejected Flamengo, and will sign a three-year deal with Brescia, reports Sky Sport Italia.

Tottenham target Nicolo Zaniolo is set to agree a new contract with Roma.

The Italian youngster will see his salary rise to €2.5m, according to calciomercato, with his current terms €700,000 per year.

The new deal will run until 2024 and end speculation over a move to Spurs or Juventus for the time being.

Shinji Kagawa has been presented at Real Zaragoza in front of 6,000 fans.

The former Manchester United midfielder has penned a two-year deal with the Segunda side.

The 30-year-old leaves Borussia Dortmund for a second time after five years, with a loan spell at Besiktas last season.

"The interest of the team and everything they have told me has been very important," said Kagawa.

"This club has to be in the LaLiga Santander. I am 30 years old and it is a very nice challenge.

"I have played for several teams, but this is a motivating challenge for me," he stated.

"Since I was young, I watched [LaLiga] a lot and learned a lot from the league. I always wanted to play in Spain."

Tiemoue Bakayoko enjoyed a fine loan spell at AC Milan last term.

But a combination of falling out with Gennaro Gattuso towards the end and hope of earning a second chance at Chelsea saw him return to London.

But Frank Lampard is not impressed and L'Equipe are reporting his former club Monaco are exploring the possibility of a loan move.

Rodrygo has suffered a right thigh injury, Real Madrid have revealed.

The injury could complicate the departure of James Rodriguez or completely end it after Marco Asensio's injury earlier in pre-season.

It now limits the options at Zinedine Zidane's disposal.
Lyon have struck a deal with Angers for former Arsenal midfielder Jeff Reine-Adelaide.

The 21-year-old will cost around €30m (£28m) including bonuses, according to reports from RMC and L'Equipe, with the Gunners receiving 10 per cent of Angers' fee after selling the player to Les Scoïstes in 2018, although they can first match the bid if they prefer to sign the player outright.

The French youngster impressed on loan at Angers before completing a permanent move, featuring 30 times in all competitions last term.

Marcos Rojo could join Fenerbahce on loan, report Turkish newspaper Posta.

The Argentine defender is out of the picture under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

And the report suggests Roma's lack of interest in selling Aleksandar Kolarov means Rojo is the alternative as a player able to play multiple positions.
