Transfer news LIVE: Man United maintain Jadon Sancho move, Arsenal to announce Willian and eye defender, Chelsea given Kai Havertz price

Follow the latest updates live from the summer transfer window as Premier League clubs continue to strengthen ahead of the new season. Manchester United continue to press on with their interest in Jadon Sancho, but Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele has emerged as an alternative option if Borussia Dortmund will not lower their asking price for the England international.

Arsenal are close to announcing their move for Willian and continue to monitor Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes, but hopes of luring Dani Ceballos back for another season-long loan have suffered a blow. Liverpool will have to make a ‘fair offer’ for Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, with the 29-year-old currently valued at £30m.

Chelsea continue to press on with their big-money move for Kai Havertz having agreed personal terms with the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder, although they remain on the hunt for other options with Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior emerging as a surprise target. West Ham meanwhile have denied that they have rejected a £50m offer from the Blues for sought-after Declan Rice, who is wanted by officials at Stamford Bridge. Follow the live updates below.

Another of the Watford contingent who looks set to depart after relegation is Roberto Pereyra.
The Argentinian attacking midfielder only has a year left on his deal and Serie A side Sassuolo are apparently keen, according to Corriere dello Sport.
He had previously been linked with Udinese.

Everton haven't had the best of fortunes so far with their reported targets. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has gone to Spurs, Wilf Zaha is far from a certainty, Gabriel Magalhaes seems to have generated far more interest elsewhere and now Allan is in the sights of Atletico Madrid.
The Napoli midfielder essentially has a choice between the two, say La Repuubblica after his relationship with his current club deteriorated across the year.

Arsenal's recruitment drive this summer looks like a very mixed one. There's the proven talents of Willian to be signed, there's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to convince to stay, there's Dani Ceballos to try and retain on loan and now, apparently, younger recruits to snare.
The Mirror have a story on the Gunners being willing to offer a players-plus-cash deal to sign Sporting CP winger Joelson Fernandes, who has already been linked with a host of other clubs.
He has a £40m release clause which the Gunners won't match with cash alone - but which of their players can they offload to Portugal?

Ben White impressed on loan at Leeds - so much so, they want him permanently.
But Brighton are in no mood to sell and have now turned down two bids from the Elland Road club for the young centre-back, TalkSPORT report. No confirmation on the second bid amount, but an earlier offer of £22m was certainly rebuffed.
Well now, here's an unexpected rumour.
Chelsea are known to want to upgrade their defence this summer and that might mean offloading one of two of their current centre-backs, though there haven't been any firm rumours as yet other than a loan for Fikayo Tomori from Rennes.
But now Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo suggest that Liverpool could make an offer for Antonio Rudiger.
Not quite sure that one rings entirely true, but there it is.
Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara is set to have his choice of suitors this summer.
The defensive midfielder, who used to be at Arsenal's academy, has been a regular under Steven Gerrard and has now attracted interest from the Premier League and beyond, according to 90 mins.
Among the sides named are Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Everton, Newcastle, Southampton, Norwich, Brentford, Dynamo Kyiv and Dinamo Moscow.
£10 million might be enough to seal a deal.
Newcastle United approached the agent of Ciro Immobile over a potential move, report Corriere dello Sport.
The Italian outlet say the Lazio striker was sounded out for a transfer before the takeover attempt collapsed recently, but he has no intentions of departing anyway.
Immobile won the top scorer award in Italy this season, as well as landing the European Golden Shoe for his 36 league goals.
The striker also suggests Max Allegri or Luciano Spalletti would have been the club's choice as manager to replace Steve Bruce.
One of the ongoing sagas this summer has been Liverpool's apparent interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
So far there's no actual bid in for the Spanish playmaker from the Reds, but he's known to want to leave and the club won't stop him, with one year left on his deal.
But the Reds now could face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester City, according to reports out of Germany, with SportBild saying City will offer more than the Reds and that Pep Guardiola wants to work with him once more.
Confirmed deal for Brighton.
Striker Percy Tau has been on loan in Belgium for the past two seasons and he'll be remaining there in 2020/21, too.
The South African signed a couple of years back but has yet to feature for the Seagulls, spending time at Royal Union SG in 18/19 and Club Brugge in 19/20.
Now the 26-year-old is heading to Anderlecht for a third campaign in the Jupiler Pro League and Brighton say the eventual aim is still to bring him back if he impresses.

Wilf Zaha has made it clear he wants to leave Crystal Palace this summer.
The winger hopes to play at a higher level, with Palace finishing 14th in the Premier League this season, ending on a horrid run of seven defeats and one draw in their last eight.
Team-mate Andros Townsend told TalkSPORT Zaha is the "most talented player I've ever played with" and that he "should be playing in the Champions League."
He does also say he hopes his team-mate remains past the summer - and there are no real reports of Europe's elite being keen on Zaha as yet.
A few teams are already known to be interested in QPR attacker EberechiEze.
Crystal Palace have already had a bid turned down and now Leeds United are also set to "enter the race" for Eze, according to the Mirror.
QPR want £20m for him, but none of the sides are too keen to meet that price; Palace bid half that amount and West Ham might point to them having paid that for Jarrod Bowen in January, who was then rated as the Championship's best player.
Following his vital contributions to West Ham's success in their battle for Premier League survival this season, Michail Antonio is set to be rewarded by the east London club.

The Mail is reporting that the 30-year-old will become one of the Hammers' highest earners with a brand new contract.

The forward's current deal of around £65,000 a week runs out next year, and it is set to be extended and improved so that Antonio earns closer to £100,000 per week.
Mario Gotze has reportedly rejected interest from David Beckham's side Inter Miami.

The Germany midfielder is without a club after his contract at Borussia Dortmund expired this summer, but MLS is unlikely to be his next destination.

According to the Daily Mail, the 28-year-old would prefer to stay in Europe.
Manchester United have been urged not to waste any time in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho - or risk missing out in the same way that they did with Erling Braut Haaland.

Club legend Paul Scholes believes the decision to play hardball with Borussia Dortmund could come back to haunt United if they do not get the deal to sign Sancho over the line sooner rather than later.

Dortmund have insisted that Sancho will not leave because United missed a club-imposed deadline on Monday to meet their £108m valuation, but United believe they still have a good chance to sign the 20-year-old this summer.

But Scholes fears that by waiting to get Sancho on their terms, United could miss out to one of their rivals as they did with Haaland, who decided to join Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg and lit up the German side immediately after his arrival.
More now on Liverpool's links with Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara.

Bayern boss Hansi Flick believes the Spaniard is right to pursue a move to the Premier League, with Liverpool the frontrunners for his signature if they wish to pursue a move for the former Barcelona product.

Speaking to Bild, Flick said: “Thiago played for Barcelona and seven years for Bayern Munich. He wants a new challenge which, in my opinion, should be the Premier League.

“He is a very important player for us, who gives the team that certain something, and we have to replace him with the same quality.”

The update comes ahead of Bayern's pre-season training camp, and follows chief executive Karl-Heinz Rumenigge's admission that time is running out for Thiago to prove himself in England.

“For a while it looked like he wanted to stay but at some point he obviously thought that he would like to do something different at the end of his career," Rummenigge told Munchen Abendzeitung.

“Thiago is 29 now and as soon as the “3” is up it will be a little more difficult to find a top club in Europe, so you have to understand him a little bit. He had a top club in Spain, a top club in Germany so maybe he would like to join a top club in England.”

AC Milan are interested in bringing Tiemoue Bakayoko back to the club, which is music to the ears of Chelsea.

The midfielder joined the Blues three years ago, but struggled to make any impact whatsoever and was shipped out on loan to Milan, who decided against triggering a £32.5m clause in his contract to sign him permanently.

Despite Frank Lampard replacing Maurizio Sarri, Bakayoko's fortunes did not improve and he was sent on loan back to Monaco, the club who sold him in the first instance to Chelsea, where he spent last season.

The Sun reports that Chelsea are keen to offload the French international for good, and as a result have cut their asking price to £20m in the hope of luring Milan into a move.
A surprise name on the Liverpool radar is Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks, who could be on of many heading for the exit following their relegation from the Premier League.

The Sun reports that the Premier League champions are looking at the Wales international to bolster their squad in an effort to not only defend their title next season, but bolster their effort to regain the European crown that they will lose in the coming weeks.

The report claims Liverpool will look to lure Brooks to Anfield for £35m, but whether Bournemouth would allow him to go for that price is another matter as they look to make the most out of the best players who want to remain in the Premier League.

However, the Anfield club face competition from EvertonTottenham and West Ham, according to The Star, and Brooks will have to weigh up whether he wants regular first-team football or a greater chance of success in deciding where his future lay.
The move for Willian could prove to be the first of many, with Arsenal becoming increasingly active in the transfer market as Mikel Arteta looks to address the obvious issues within his squad.

Thomas Partey is one name who has been constantly linked with a move to the Emirates, and renowned Spanish football reporter Kike Marin has provided an update on talks between the two clubs, which appear to have reached something of a stalemate.

Arsenal have apparently offered Hector Bellerin, Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torreira in separate offers for Partey, but Atletico Madrid are refusing to budge on their valuation and want his £45m release fee to be paid in full if thy want to speak to the Ghanaian midfielder.
Manchester City have rejected Barcelona's opening £14m offer for defender Eric Garcia, with the Spaniard looking to leave the club in the pursuit of regular first team football.

Garcia informed the club that he will not sign a new contract, with his current deal due to expire next summer, and it has alerted his former club Barcelona to his availability.

City slapped a £31m price tag on Garcia, but Barcelona are unwilling to match it and after seeing their €15m offer rejected, ESPN reports that the Spanish club are unwilling to offer any more for the 19-year-old.
Inter Milan are looking to rival Roma to sign Manchester United defender Chris Smalling following his successful loan spell in Italy this season.

Smalling is set to return to Old Trafford imminently after Roma elected not to sign him on a permanent basis.

But a surprise change in ownership at the club has seen hopes of a move to the capital city reignited, with Smalling one of a number of targets being considered by the new Roma hierarchy.

However, they are not the only Italian side watching the England international as Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter are also looking to sign the 30-year-old to strengthen their defensive ranks.

Manchester City midfielder David Silva looks set to join Lazio at the end of the season, while Tottenham and Southampton yesterday agreed to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Kyle Walker-Peters in £15m and £12m deal respectively from each other.
