Transfer news: Latest rumours, gossip and done deals from Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and more

The Premier League's January transfer window is upon us with Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham all set to be busy.

Chelsea have made the biggest splash with the signing of Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic and look set to be active again before the window. There will be outgoings too, however, with Cesc Fabregas already gone and the future of Callum Hudson-Odoi firmly up in the air. Arsenal too are looking for reinforcements but will be restricted to loan deals. Will Barcelona's Denis Suarez make the move?

Manchester United only managed a few additions in the summer but with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm could well be busier with a new centre-back his top priority. Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly and Roma's Kostas Manolas are just two of his options while Tottenham could also choose to dip their toes in the water as they battle for an all-important top four spot. We will have all the latest news, views, rumours, gossip and done deals right here so don't touch that dial.

CARDIFF NEWS
Argentina striker Emiliano Sala has travelled to Cardiff ahead of a potential club record £18m transfer.

The 28-year-old has been in fine form for Nantes this season, scoring 12 goals in Ligue 1 this season, ahead of Neymar and behind only Lille’s Nicolas Pepe (13) and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe (14).

The move appeared to be on the rocks before Cardiff chairman Mehmet Dalman confirmed talks were ongoing.

“Nothing is dead until it is dead, there is still dialogue going on and we will see what happens,” he said.

A fee of £18m would surpass the £11m Cardiff paid for Chile international midfielder Gary Medel in 2013.

Medel made 34 appearances as Cardiff were immediately relegated back to the Championship, before signing for Serie A side Inter Milan for £10m.
Everton could move for Barcelona outcast Malcom this month.

The Brazilian has found first-team football hard to come by since joining from Bordeaux in the summer.

And, according to Marca, the Toffees could now try and capitalise.

Meanwhile, United could finally land long-term reported target Ivan Perisic as Inter Milan look to raise money to fund a move for Luka Modric, The Sun reports.

The paper says a report in the Italian media indicates the Nerazzurri may look to sell Perisic in order to bring his Croatia team-mate Modric to Italy.

Liverpool are keen on signing Trabzonspor midfielder Abdulkadir Omur this month.

That's according to the Sun who say the 19-year-old has caught the eye of Jurgen Klopp. Newcastle are also said to be keen.

Staying in Italy where Chelsea are continuing to keep track of Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, the Daily Mirror reports.

Blues owner Roman Abramovich is said to be taking a vested interest in a possible £100million move for the Argentine.

Back to Italy where Milan could be willing to let Franck Kessie move to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old is being tracked by a number of clubs including Chelsea and Tottenham.

And Calciomercato report that Milan would be willing to sell for around £40m.

To Arsenal where the Gunners are looking for reinforcements this month.

One of Unai Emery's top targets remains Barcelona's Denis Suarez with the midfielder surplus to requirements this month.

However, the Mirror report Barca are playing hardball over a potential loan deal with the option of making the move permanent in the summer.

It is suggested they want to keep the 25-year-old from leaving.

Manchester United have made a new centre-back their No 1 target this month.

New boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will meet with executive vice chairman Ed Woodward this week to discuss plans.

And The Sun report that Roma's Kostas Manolas is one being considered.

The Greek international defender has a £32m buyout clause.

Bayern Munich are still confident of signing Callum Hudson-Odoi despite Chelsea's insistence that they will hold on to the England youth international.

The Bundesliga giants most recently submitted an offer of £30m to sign the teenager, who is out of contract in the summer and looking for assurances over first-team minutes.

Hudson-Odoi is understood to initially have needed some convincing over a move to Germany but has been impressed by Bayern's commitment to trying to bring him to the Allianz Arena.

Red Bull are considering expanding Paul Mitchell's role to ward off interest from Manchester United.

That's according to the Daily Telegraph who say the drinks giant want him to become head of global football across all of their football clubs.

United are looking to appoint a director of football or technical director as vice-chairman Ed Woodward continues his reshuffling of the structure at the club.

Nottingham Forest are set to appoint club legend Martin O’Neill as new manager, after a pitch where the Irishman put forward a persuasive plan to take them back to the Premier League for the first time since 1999.

A two-time winner of the European Cup with the club under Brian Clough over 1979 and 1980, O’Neill a few months ago departed the Republic of Ireland job under some criticism, but Forest have for a long time wanted their former midfielder to return as manager and see a CV filled with club success as far more relevant than his most recent job.

Forest are hopeful that O’Neill can do for them what he did for Leicester City in the late 90s, and it was this plan - and the energy he showed for the job - that were seen as crucial in negotiations.

It is why he is now expected to beat Slavisa Jokanovic to the job.

Back to Italy now where Juventus' Paulo Dybala is the subject of heavy interest.

Manchester City, Bayern Munich and PSG have all apparently seen bids rejected this month according to Tuttomercato.

The Old Lady are apparently holding out for bids in excess of £90m.

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is wanted by Crystal Palace after he snubbed a loan switch to Wolves, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 21-year-old has impressed after netting 16 times in 20 appearances on loan at Aston Villa, with Palace in need of firepower up front.

Red Bull Salzburg striker Moanes Dabour is reportedly interested in moving to Anfield.

The 26-year-old Israeli has been in excellent form this season, scoring 20 goals in his 30 outings for Salzburg so far.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Valencia are tracking Dabour but the player himself wants to move to Merseyside and work with Klopp.

Ander Herrera appears set to sign a new deal at Manchester United, The Sun claims.

Despite interest from former club Athletic Bilbao, the 29-year-old is ready to commit himself to United after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted he had a future with them.

Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure has claimed he will leave the club this month in pursuit of Champions League football and international recognition from world champions France.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been something of a revelation since arriving at Vicarage Road two seasons ago, his all-action displays providing seven goals last year in a breakout campaign.

And now Doucoure, speaking on French television channel Canal+, has decided that he needs to leave the Hornets to fulfil his ambitions.

Jadon Sancho has no interest in a return to the Premier League and is loving life in Germany.

The former Manchester City youngster and England international has been linked with a move back - but he's more than happy where he is.

Asked by reporters if he plans to stay in the Bundesliga, Sancho said: "I will. I just want to play football and I'm getting that opportunity here. I'm happy right now."

Chelsea are said to have enquired about Paris St-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The French international is out of contract in the summer and looked set for a switch to Barcelona.

But Bayern Munich are said to be keen and so too are the Blues, according to L'Equipe.

To Tottenham where Real Madrid have apparently been told they'll have to pay a world record fee if they want Harry Kane.

Madrid are set for an overhaul this summer and have long admired the England captain.

But according to The Sun Spurs have slapped a £310m price tag on their main man.

To Chelsea where their search for a striker could finally be over.

The Mirror reports the Blues have made contact with Juventus over a deal to bring Gonzalo Higuain to Stamford Bridge.

The Argentine is currently on loan at AC Milan with the Italian giants more keen on a permanent sale rather than a loan.
