Transfer news: Latest rumours, gossip and done deals from Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and more

The Premier League's January transfer window is upon us with Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham all set to be busy.

Chelsea have made the biggest splash with the signing of Borussia Dortmund's Christian Pulisic and look set to be active again before the window. There will be outgoings too, however, with Cesc Fabregas already gone and the future of Callum Hudson-Odoi firmly up in the air. Arsenal too are looking for reinforcements but will be restricted to loan deals. Will Barcelona's Denis Suarez make the move?

Manchester United only managed a few additions in the summer but with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm could well be busier with a new centre-back his top priority. Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly and Roma's Kostas Manolas are just two of his options while Tottenham could also choose to dip their toes in the water as they battle for an all-important top four spot. We will have all the latest news, views, rumours, gossip and done deals right here so don't touch that dial.

If not Gonzalo Higuain, then who for Chelsea.

The Daily Star report that the Blues have been told they can sign Bournemouth's Callum Wilson this month... for £75m.

Just the 25 times what the Cherries paid for him. I think that'll be a no then.

Manchester United could finally land long-term reported target Ivan Perisic as Inter Milan look to raise money to fund a move for Luka Modric, The Sun reports.

The paper says a report in the Italian media indicates the Nerazzurri may look to sell Perisic in order to bring his Croatia team-mate Modric to Italy.

Liverpool are keen on signing Trabzonspor midfielder Abdulkadir Omur this month.

That's according to the Sun who say the 19-year-old has caught the eye of Jurgen Klopp.

Newcastle are also said to be keen.

Arsenal could potentially sign James Rodriguez from Bayern Munich until the end of the season for as little as £3m, thanks to a little-known Fifa regulation.

Although a player is only able to appear for two clubs in a single season, according to article 5.3 in Fifa’s Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, a squad member can still be registered by up to three clubs.

The Colombian midfielder joined the German champions from Real Madrid on a two-year loan move, so has only represented Bayern this season, and has since fallen out of favour under new manager Niko Kovac.

Unai Emery confirmed last week that Arsenal would not be able to make any permanent signings in the January transfer window, and are now pursuing established targets such as Barcelona’s Denis Suarez and Rodriguez on loan.

Chelsea are said to have enquired about Paris St-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The French international is out of contract in the summer and looked set for a switch to Barcelona.

But Bayern Munich are said to be keen and so too are the Blues, according to L'Equipe.

Back to Liverpool where the league leaders are in the midst of something of an injury crisis.

Virgil van Dijk is the Reds' only fit centre back after Dejan Lovren's injury at Wolves.

And The Sun report that Jurgen Klopp is considering a loan move for Burnley's James Tarkowski as cover.

The Clarets, however, have slapped a £50m price tag on him.

Manchester United's hangover after the Jose Mourinho era looks set to continue through January after it emerged that the Old Trafford club still owes an astonishing £258m in transfer fees and associated costs.

United signed 11 players during Mourinho's time in charge of the club, and while he didn't have full control over transfers he had significant input alongside executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, who signed off the deals. During the Mourinho era the club spent £370m chasing trophies.

And a lecturer in football finance at the University of Liverpool, Kieran Maguire, noted the incredible amount still outstanding on transfers while trawling through United's 2018 financial report.

More details in the link below:

To Tottenham where Real Madrid have apparently been told they'll have to pay a world record fee if they want Harry Kane.

Madrid are set for an overhaul this summer and have long admired the England captain.

But according to The Sun Spurs have slapped a £310m price tag on their main man.

Petr Cech will take time to consider what to do next when he sets aside his goalkeeping gloves this summer.

The 36-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Chelsea in June 2015, announced on Tuesday that he will retire from playing at the end of the season.

Cech has his A licence coaching qualification and, should he choose to pursue a coaching career, it is understood he would be welcomed back by Chelsea.

Ander Herrera appears set to sign a new deal at Manchester United, The Sun claims.

Despite interest from former club Athletic Bilbao, the 29-year-old is ready to commit himself to United after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted he had a future with them.

Bayern Munich are still confident of signing Callum Hudson-Odoi despite Chelsea's insistence that they will hold on to the England youth international.

The Bundesliga giants most recently submitted an offer of £30m to sign the teenager, who is out of contract in the summer and looking for assurances over first-team minutes.

Hudson-Odoi is understood to initially have needed some convincing over a move to Germany but has been impressed by Bayern's commitment to trying to bring him to the Allianz Arena.

Over to Italy now where Juventus' Paulo Dybala is the subject of heavy interest.

Manchester City, Bayern Munich and PSG have all apparently seen bids rejected this month according to Tuttomercato.

The Old Lady are apparently holding out for bids in excess of £90m.

Everton are reportedly monitoring Algeria international Yacine Brahimi, who is set to be out of contract at Porto at the end of the season.

The Daily Mirror reports that Everton sent a scout to watch the forward in action last week during his club's 3-1 victory over Nacional.

To Manchester United and a possible move for Philippe Coutinho.

The former Liverpool star's switch to Spain has not gone as planned and the Spanish press believe Barcelona could be ready to cut their losses on their £142m man.

United are said to be keen and Mundo Deportivo report that Coutinho is considering
his options.

The plot appears to be thickening at Chelsea.

Gonzalo Higuain appears to not be present on AC Milan's tour of Saudi Arabia.

Milan are in Jeddah ahead of the Supercoppa with Juventus but their star striker isn't around.

What does it mean?

Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey is set to join Juventus in the summer but could move even earlier than that.

The Welsh international is out of contract in the summer and with no new deal forthcoming is free to talk to foreign clubs with the Italian champions winning the race.

He'll join for nothing on July 1 as the likes of Bayern Munich, PSG and Real Madrid miss out but the Mirror report Juve could get him now for £18m should they so wish.

To Liverpool where a surprise target has emerged.

The Scottish Sun report that Jurgen Klopp is monitoring Celtic winger James Forrest ahead of a possible move.

Forrest is in fine form scoring 17 goals for the Hoops with the Reds pondering an £8m bid.

Back to Chelsea where Eden Hazard's future is once again on the agenda.

The Belgian star's contract runs out at the end of next season with Hazard showing no signs of signing the £300,000 per week terms offered to him.

With that in mind the Telegraph report that Chelsea have told Real Madrid they will have to pay £100m to sign him.

To Leeds where a new goalkeeper may finally be on the horizon.

It is understood Kiko Casilla has jetted into the UK ahead of a loan move to Elland Road.

The Real Madrid stopper will have a medical later today.

Bournemouth are set to offer in-form midfielder David Brooks a new contract.

The summer signing from Sheffield United is wanted by Manchester United and Tottenham according to The Sun.
