Liverpool were the summer's biggest spenders with no fewer than four new arrivals. Goalkeeper Alisson was the headline-grabber with the Brazilian already proving worth every penny of the world-record fee the Reds shelled out for the Brazilian. Could long-term target Nabil Fekir join him next month? United got a couple of new faces in through the door in the summer but it hasn't made a difference with Jose Mourinho out and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in. Will he spend them out of trouble in the January sales?

Atletico Madrid have announced the loan signing of Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata, with the Spain international agreeing a deal to return to his childhood for not just the rest of the season, but the entirety of next season too.
The forward has fallen out of favour under Maurizio Sarri and the acquisition of Gonzalo Higuain last week gave Morata the green light to leave the club, and while the deal with Atletico is only an 18-month loan, the Liga club have the option to sign Morata on a permanent deal at any time for £48.5m.

First Jadon Sancho, then Callum Hudson-Odio, now Rabbi Matondo?
The Manchester City youngster is on the verge of a move to Bundesliga side Schalke as the German interest in the Premier League's youth reserves continues.
The 18-year-old, who was born in Liverpool but has chosen to play for Wales, is on the verge of an £11.3m exit from Manchester City - the same club who lost Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund a few years ago against their will.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has spoken to the media about the club's plans for the last few days of the January transfer window.
With Arsenal linked with Denis Suarez, Christopher Nkunku and most-recently Ivan Perisic, it looks like the Gunners might be one of the more active clubs this week.
But Emery is not committing to anything just yet, with the Spaniard saying today that the club will bring in between "zero and two players" before the window shuts.

Southampton are reportedly interested in Rangers captain James Tavernier.
The Saints are looking to bolster their survival effort with the 27-year-old defender.

Arsenal may be in the market for a new defender with the news Sokratis Papastathopoulos has been ruled out for a month with an ankle injury suffered in Friday's FA Cup loss to Manchester United.
The diagnosis leaves Arsenal facing a defensive shortage with Laurent Koscielny being assessed for facial injuries suffered in the same match, while Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin were already sidelined.
The news on Koscielny is better than initially feared, with Unai Emery indicating after the match he was being checked for a broken jaw, but the Arsenal manager had expressed confidence Sokratis' injury was not serious.
