Transfer news LIVE!

We are deep into the summer window, with pre-season under way, and clubs are steping up their efforts to sign and sell players.

The biggest deal of the window so far has seen Manchester United finally land long-time target Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £73million. The young Englishman is expected to finalise his move this week after undergoing a medical.

United are also keen to sign Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane, while talks are ongoing over Rennes’ French starlet Eduardo Camavinga.

Chelsea also want to sign a superstar from Dortmund and are reportedly ready to bid £150m for Erling Haaland, looking to beat the fierce competition for a striker who is available for half that price next summer.

Arsenal have already completed the £8.5m signing of Benfica left-back Nuno Tavares and agreed a deal for Albert Sambi Lokonga. Mikel Arteta will now step up efforts to sign Ben White from Brighton for what could be in the region of £55m.

The Gunners have also been linked with another bid for Lyon star Houssem Aouar and Wolves’ Ruben Neves. Emile Smith Rowe, meanwhile, is staying put.

Tottenham’s transfer activity has stepped up a gear now Nuno Espirito Santo has been confirmed as their new manager. Danny Ings remains their priority signing with the club determined to keep Harry Kane. In defence, fees for both Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jules Kounde have reportedly been agreed.

Manchester City are once again ready to splash the cash as they target huge deals for both Kane and Jack Grealish, though managing to prise the pair away from Tottenham and Aston Villa respectively will prove difficult. Villa are confident of Grealish agreeing a new contract, while Spurs have ruled out selling their prized asset.

Liverpool have been linked with Saul Niguez, Youri Tielemans and Nicolo Barella as well as a potential deal for Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches as they look to replace Gini Wijnaldum.
