Wednesday's transfer news: Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea rumours

Follow LIVE updates this Wednesday with all the latest transfer news, rumours and done deals.

We could be in for a manic last few weeks in the window as Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Tottenham all look keen to spend.

With the domino effect likely to spark a flurry of deals, the end of the summer could hinge on Neymar and his desire to leave PSG.

Paul Pogba is edging closer to joining Real Madrid.

That's according to AS, who report Manchester United are advancing talks for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The Lazio star could arrive and therefore release Pogba, with Real and Juventus fighting it out for his signature.

Danny Rose could join Paris Saint-Germain, who believe they are ahead of Juventus for the Tottenham star.

Spurs are willing to sell the England international for £20m, with the Sun claiming Ligue 1 is more likely than Serie A at this point.

Mauricio Pochettino has already ditched Kieran Trippier, who has joined Atletico Madrid, and Rose, at 29 years old, looks set to follow.

Manchester United are confident of finalising deals for Harry Maguire and Sean Longstaff.

The Standard claim Ed Woodward has remained in the UK to push through both deals.

Leicester value Maguire at £90m, with United's latest offer short of that at £70m, while £30m for Longstaff is said to be a compromise, after Newcastle previously demanded £50m based off the fee for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Dani Ceballos’ move to Arsenal has been thrown into doubt after the Real Madrid star’s teammate Marco Asensio suffered a serious knee injury in a pre-season friendly against the Gunners.

Ceballos, after shining in the European Under-21 Championships and inspiring Spain to victory, is eager for increased playing time next season.

And Real had conceded he would require a loan with minutes likely to be limited under Zinedine Zidane next season.

Unai Emery appeared set to sign Ceballos on loan, but after Asensio suffered what appears to be an ACL injury and a probable nine-month absence, Emery concedes the agreement could be jeopardised.

“I don’t know (if the injury will affect our deal for Ceballos),” Emery said after Arsenal lost on penalties following the 2-2 draw.

Morgan Gibbs-White is hoping for more first-team opportunities at Wolves this season.

The England U17 World Cup-winner enjoyed an impressive breakthrough but was gradually edged out of the starting eleven.

Wolves qualified for the Europa League last season for the first time in 39 years and the winger hopes that the added fixtures will provide him with more time to show his worth.

Paulo Dybala has given the OK for an eventual Juventus exit.

Tuttosport believe the Argentine has accepted the possibility he could leave Turin.

Maurizio Sarri does not have an obvious role for Dybala, with a move for Paul Pogba potentially funded by the sale.

Former Newcastle star Remy Cabella is set to leave Saint-Etienne and join Krasnodar.

Multiple reports in France claim the Russians will pay €12m.

The player will earn €3m per year net.

Huddersfield Town are tracking Chelsea youngster Trevoh Chalobah.

The former Ipswich loanee is thought to be available on a permanent deal too.

With just two years remaining on his contract, the Blues will consider offers for the 20-year-old, report Goal

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Trezeguet from Kasimpasa for an undisclosed fee.

“We’re really excited to work with ‘Trez’. I’ve watched him a number of times," said Dean Smith.

“He’s the type of wide player that we have been looking for who is direct, causes problems for the opposition in the final third and scores goals.”

Birmingham have signed Chelsea defender Jake Clarke-Salter on a season-long loan.

A number of Championship clubs expressed an interest in taking Clarke-Salter on loan, but Birmingham moved quickly to agree a deal with Chelsea and the player.

Victor Lindelof has responded to speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona.

"I'm not the kind of person who thinks about that," Lindelof told ESPN

"I'm here, I'm very happy here. That's my focus. Manchester United is my club.

"I represent this club with great honour."

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has said that Arsenal proposed move for full back Kieran Tierney is off.

“The deal, as far as I’m aware, is not happening," Lennon said. "We are delighted about that and it’s just a question of appeasing his mind now.

“As far as I am aware, it is finished. I don’t know if Arsenal are going to meet our valuation. So it is basically as you were."

Spurs could push Toby Alderweireld's price tag up to £40m.

The Belgian defender is available for just £25m, but that release clause expires on Friday.

The Telegraph believe Daniel Levy is willing to up the price if a club does not come calling before then.

Shinji Okazaki could be on his way to Malaga after terns were agreed for the sale of the Japan international with Leicester.

The 33-year-old did not score a goal last season for the Foxes.

And Diario Sur claim Okazaki will now travel to Spain for a medical.

Matt Miaziga has rejoined Reading on loan from Chelsea, the club have confirmed.

The central defender was with The Royals last season, and now returns after a successful spell.

Sporting Lisbon head coach Marcel Keizer has said he hopes midfielder Bruno Fernandes will stay at the club, after being strongly linked with Manchester United.

When asked about a possible departure of Fernandes, Keizer told Sport TV: "A player of his quality cannot be replaced.

"If it were up to me, the market would close, it's good enough for me. But all the teams are waiting to see what happens with respect to new players and possible transfers.

“Sporting wants to keep the best but we are not in a position to keep all of our players and something will happen but I do hope they can stay."

Marco Asensio will be operated on in the next few days.

The Real Madrid star suffered a rupture to the anterior cruciate ligament and the external meniscus of his left knee, the club has confirmed.

The news could force a rethink over letting Dani Ceballos join Arsenal on loan.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not regret taking injured Romelu Lukaku on Manchester United’s pre-season tour despite the Belgian failing to play any part.

Inter Milan are keen on Lukaku but have seen their bids rejected by United, as Lukaku remains with the squad in China.

The 26-year-old will now also miss Thursday’s clash against Tottenham in Shanghai thanks to his ankle injury.

Solskjaer has been positive about Lukaku’s behaviour and insisted that the injury occurred during the tour.

Asked if he regretted taking Lukaku on tour, the United boss said: “He got injured in training so he had to stay here. If it was worse we would have sent him home, but he’s been working with the physios in the gym, so no.

“Of course it’s never nice to be a player who misses out on important fitness work and team understanding and tactical approach, so he’ll just have to make up later on.

“He has been working with the physios the last few days. I don’t think he’ll make this one (match) either.”

According to Sky Sports, Dani Caballero is in London for a medical after Arsenal and Real Madrid agreed a deal.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery previously admitted he did not know if the injury suffered by Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio, during a friendly between the two clubs, would affect the deal for Ceballos.

Arsenal's move for Dani Ceballos could be in doubt, with Marco Asensio's ACL injury causing problems for Real Madrid and their plans.

Zinedine Zidane is admittedly concerned: "It has nothing to do with one thing. We are all touched by Marco, hopefully as little as possible, just that,” said Zidane.

“We're a little worried (by Asensio). It's the knee. He went straight to the hospital to get tested and see. But it looks bad. It's the bad thing of the day for us. because we lose a player and we are a little touched, yes.”
