The future of Neymar meanwhile remains completely up in the air, with Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid both reportedly keen on the Paris Saint-Germain striker. Follow all of the latest news below:

Charly Musonda interview: 'People will doubt me, but I am 100% confident I will wear the Chelsea shirt again'

DONE DEAL!

Manchester United are poised to allow Alexis Sanchez to leave the club.

That's according to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, who claims that the club are ready to sign-off on a loan deal taking Alexis to Inter Milan.

The deal would see United subsidise his wages, along with a £13.7m option-to-buy clause.

Leicester striker Islam Slimani has joined Monaco on a season-long loan.

The club-record £30m signing has spent the last year-and-a-half on loan at Newcastle and Fenerbahce and hasn't actually appeared for the Foxes since January 2018.

Davide Zappacosta has admitted it is emotional returning to Italy after completing a loan move to Roma.

The full-back has struggled to make inroads into the starting eleven at Stamford Bridge and is relieved to have returned home.

“Returning to my country is very emotional," he told Sky in Italy. "I missed Italy a lot and I’m happy to return here with Roma – I feel at home here because I live close by.

"I know the sporting director [Gianluca Petrachi], I know how much passion he puts into his work and I know how passionate the fan base is. The team is very young and I think we can do well.”

Jadon Sancho is set to sign a new £190,000-per-week contract at Borussia Dortmund.

The Daily Mail report that the England international will double his wages as the club look to fend away interest from Manchester United and Manchester City.

Fulham striker Rui Fonte has returned to Sporting Braga on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old failed to secure a first-team spot during his two years at Craven Cottage, making just 27 appearances.

Signed for around £7m, Fonte spent last season on loan at Lille alongside his brother and former Southampton defender, Jose Fonte.

Franck Ribery's move to Fiorentina has now been confirmed.

“I’m happy, I’m here with my family,” he told Sky in Italy reporters. “I’ve been talking with Fiorentina for the past week, I’ve also spoken to Luca Toni and he told me it is a great club and an amazing city. I like Florence, plus I already know Italian – it’s not perfect but it’s good.”

Franck Ribery has arrived in Fiorentina ahead of signing with the club.

The Frenchman is undergoing his medical with the Serie A side after being released by Bayern Munich in the summer.

The 36-year-old is set to earn £3.6m-per-year and has signed a two-year contract.

Blaise Matuidi will see out his Juventus contract despite being linked with a move away this summer.

Monaco were in talks to sign the French midfielder, but L'Equipe claim the 32-year-old will stay this year and leave on a free next summer.

Maurizio Sarri now has six first team players ineligible for his Champions League squad.

Jurgen Klopp has once again hinted he may retire from football when his Liverpool contract expires in 2022.

While accepting a German newspaper award yesterday, Klopp said: “I hope to continue like this, but in two, three years I don’t know what may happen.

“Maybe I’ll retire!

“It doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen, however, but if that were the case, you wouldn’t be surprised.”

German newspaper Bild claim that Lille are interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches.

Sanches, who was previously loaned to Swansea City, has admitted that he is desperate to leave the Bundesliga champions.

"The situation is not good for me," said Sanches after coming on as a late substitute against Hertha.

"I again asked the club to leave and join a different club. But they did not let me leave. Five minutes, like today, is not enough for me," he said.

Sanches, who joined in 2016, has failed to hold down a starting spot amid tough competition and has repeatedly vented his anger at being given little playing time.

Maverick forward Mario Balotelli said he was not afraid of failing at Serie A side Brescia and that he was still hoping for an Italy recall.

Promoted Brescia became the eighth club of the 29-year-old's turbulent career when he signed from them on Sunday on a free transfer from Olympique de Marseille.

Dozens of Brescia fans celebrated outside the hotel where "Supermario" gave a 12-minute news conference on Monday.

"I came to Brescia because this is my city, I can't compare this team to any other. But the goal is also to return to the national team," he said, adding that his aim was to play at Euro 2020.

"When Brescia's offer arrived, I didn't think of anything else. There's is no fear of failing, I hope to help this team grow as much as possible."

According to reports in Spain, Spurs have agreed to send Georges-Kevin NKoudou on a season-long loan to Besiktas.

The 24-year-old moved to Spurs from Marseille in 2016 but has failed to win a place in the north London club’s first-team, with loan spells at Burnley and Monaco.

Cristiano Ronaldo admits he could retire next year despite three more years left on his Juventus contract.

At 34 years old, Ronaldo admits the end is coming as he bids to add an extra layer to his legacy in Turin.

The ultimate goal with Juventus remains the Champions League, with a quarter-final exit at the hands of Ajax last year, and Ronaldo concedes this could be his final chance to win it.

“I don’t think about that,” Ronaldo told TVI.

“Maybe I can finish my career next year... but I can also play up to 40 or 41.

Juventus are scouring Lyon forward Moussa Dembele, according to reports.

L’Equipe have claimedthat Juve representatives watched the 23-year-old score twice in Lyon’s 6-0 win over Angers on Friday.

The Frenchman has been a big success ever since he moved to the Ligue 1 side from Celtic, scoring 20 goals in all competitions last season.

Meanwhile, Sport believe Barcelona have valued Neymar at €160m.

That's €60m less than his price two years ago, which is unlikely to satisfy the French club.

They are waiting for Real Madrid's move, the report adds.

Mundo Deportivo claim Barcelona want to sign Neymar on a two-year loan with an obligation to buy.

It remains unclear whether PSG would be open to structuring a deal in such a way.

Barcelona appear to be without funds to make a permanent purchase right now after loaning Philippe Coutinho to Bayern.

If Neymar is open to Real Madrid, then Barcelona could risk losing their former player to their fiercest rivals.

Ajax forward Kasper Dolberg is poised to join Ligue 1 outfit Nice, according to L’Equipe.

The 21-year-old is poised to sign a five-year deal at the Allianz Riviera, in a transfer worth slightly over £20m.

Dolberg made 38 appearances in all competitions for Ajax last season, scoring 12 goals.

Christian Pulisic rejected a move to Manchester United because of his father’s dislike for Jose Mourinho, according to the Chelsea star’s former coach.

The 20-year-old moved to the Blues in a £58m deal in January before heading back to Borussia Dortmund on a six-month loan.

The United States international could have moved to the Premier League sooner but for Mourinho being in charge at Old Trafford.

“I’m a Chelsea fan, I grew up in London supporting them. When I was in Dortmund last year, I told him that he had to come,” Robin Walker, who coached Pulisic early in his development at non-League side Brackley Town, told the Telegraph.

“He wouldn’t go to Manchester United because of Jose Mourinho. His father couldn’t stand Mourinho, because he didn’t promote young players.

“It was at that point I asked: “What about London? That’s where it’s at.

“I was trying to sell the city. His agent agreed, saying: “When you make these decisions, it’s all about investment and property.” I was delighted that he did sign.”
