Manchester United and Arsenal are both in the headlines this afternoon as they consider moves for Paris Saint-Germain's soon-to-be departed striker Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan is out of contract at the end of the season and available on a free transfer, and reports in his homeland suggest that offers have already been made from the two Premier League clubs along with Atletico Madrid. Chelsea meanwhile are on the hunt for a defender, with eyes on Issa Diop of West Ham and their former centre-back Nathan Ake at Bournemouth, with £40m bis prepared for both depending on who the club decide to focus on.
Tottenham Hotspur meanwhile are looking at Barcelona centre-back Samuel Umtiti despite long-term interest from Arsenal and United, with the France international facing a somewhat uncertain future as Barca are keen to move him on this season, while another star defender who appears to be on the market is Juventus's Matthijs de Ligt, who despite only arriving in Italy at the start of the season is already being linked with a loan move back to Ajax after failing to settle in Turin. Norwich City have agreed a loan deal for Hertha Berlin midfielder Ondrej Duda, according to The Telegraph.
The Slovakia international, 25, has flown in from Germany to finalise the six-month deal, having lost his place in the Hertha side since former USMNT boss Jurgen Klinsmann took over in November.
Duda joined the Bundesliga team from Legia Warsaw in the summer of 2016.

Goalkeeper Viviano, who previously played at Sampdoria, left Sporting Lisbon in September after failing to make a single appearance for the Portuguese club.
But a loan spell at SPAL last season saw the 34-year-old help the Serie A side avoid relegation.

Manager Chris Wilder has ruled out the possibility of club captain Billy Sharp leaving Sheffield United this month, despite the 33-year-old striker struggling for game time this season.
Midfielders Ben Osborn and Luke Freeman will not leave either, according to the Mirror, though both were linked with loan exits.
Wilder will allow others to depart Bramall Lane if offers arrive, however, including Richard Stearman, Leon Clarke and Mark Duffy.
While Arsenal have been linked with the likes of Edinson Cavani and Samuel Umtiti, coach Mikel Arteta said at his press conference today that he is "not expecting big things" in the transfer window.
"I'm expecting big things from the players I have at the moment," he said.
"If we can find something to help us go through the season in a more balanced way in certain areas, we'll look at the options."
Manchester United seem to be looking to Italy for signings up both ends of the pitch.
Twenty-five-year-old Napoli and Poland striker Arkadiusz Milik is on their radar, according to The Sun, while Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla is another potential recruit, The Star has reported.

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha seemed destined for Everton last summer, or at least a fellow Premier League club, but now he is attracting interest from further afield.
The Guardian has reported that Palace have rejected an approach for Zaha from German champions Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga side are said to have wanted the 27-year-old on a loan deal until the end of the season with a view to signing him permanently.
The Eagles reportedly dismissed the proposal immediately.
