Transfer news LIVE!
The summer window remains alive despite a brief hiatus between registration windows ahead of the start of the Club World Cup. The biggest deal of the close season is edging closer to a conclusion, with Liverpool planning a medical for Florian Wirtz after agreeing a stunning £127million deal with Bayer Leverkusen. This is a British record surpassing the £115m Chelsea paid for Moises Caicedo.
Arsenal continue to work on two key arrivals and are plotting a medical of their own. Martin Zubimendi is finally set to join in a deal worth around £59m, almost a year after talks first began for a player Mikel Arteta has long deemed a dream signing. The Gunners hope to soon add Benjamin Sesko to their ranks for around £60m, but Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen will cost more with Manchester United sniffing around the pair. Real Madrid star Rodrygo remains a possibility too.
Chelsea are currently focusing on their first Club World Cup game, against LAFC on Sunday, but are expected to soon revive interest in Mike Maignan and Jamie Gittens. They have been linked with Hugo Ekitike, but United are now set to make a move. Manchester City got deals for Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders over the line. Tottenham are set to announce Thomas Frank as their new manager imminently. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

Al Hilal did think they had sealed the Nigerian's signature, with the offer for €40m over three years, only for Osimhen to pull the plug at the last minute. The Saudi club tried again before yesterday's first summer deadline, but again were rejected.
Why? Because, according to Gazetta dello Sport, Osimhen wants to play in the Premier League. He has one year left on his contract in Naples, and United sense and opportunity.

A club statement confirming the decision thanks Postecoglou for delivering "one of the club's greatest moments", but also noted a 17th-place finish in the Premier League as they lost 22 of their 38 matches, their worst return in over 100 years.
Van de Ven, fresh from scoring for the Netherlands in an 8-0 demolition of Malta, believes Postecoglou proved he has a "winning mentality" and noted the squad's relationship with the sacked head coach as Thomas Frank prepares to be appointed.
“That was ultimately a choice from the club," he told Voetbal Zone. "We, as players, have little to say about that. Of course, he is the first coach in a long time who has won a trophy has had success at Spurs. So if you look at it that way, it is of course a strange choice.
