The new Premier League season is now less than two weeks away and the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are showing no signs of slowing down their wheeling and dealing. With £64million man Viktor Gyokeres finally wrapped up, the Gunners are expected to step up their interest in Eberechi Eze, whose £68m release clause expires on the opening day of the campaign.
Liverpool finally lodged an opening bid for Alexander Isak, worth £110million, which was immediately rejected by Newcastle. In a fresh twist, the Reds have opted against making a second bid as the Magpies demand £150m for their star man, and could now turn to Rodrygo. Newcastle remain interested in Benjamin Sesko, and have interest in Yoane Wissa, and have reportedly beaten Man United to the RB Leipzig striker’s signature.
Leipzig could also lose Xavi Simons, with Chelsea in talks over a deal having agreed a £38m fee for Jorrel Hato. Alejandro Garnacho remains a target. Newcastle are taking a front-footed approach in their attempts to land the Slovenian, having submitted a bid on Saturday for the RB Leipzig striker.
Manchester United are being more measured, and will only bid if they know for certain that the centre-forward wants to join them over a move to St James’ Park.

Liverpool preparing to 'insist' for Isak

The Reds are preparing to approach Newcastle with a second bid for the Swede after they had a £120million offer turned down on Friday.

Ipswich close on Cajuste return
16:00 , Oli GentFabrizio Romano reports that Jens Cajuste is about to return to Ipswich from Napoli.
The Swedish midfielder spent the season on loan at Portman Road last term, and now, with Ipswich missing out on Hayden Hackney, he is set to make a come back to East Anglia on another loan.
It is another loan, with the initial fee set at €2m with a €7.5m buy option that becomes an obligation should Ipswich get promoted back to the top flight.

Isak situation 'far from ideal' - Howe
15:45 , Oli GentNewcastle manager Eddie Howe has said that Alexander Isak’s future uncertainty is ‘far from ideal’ as the Magpies look to prepare for the start of the Premier League season.
The Swede wants to leave St James’ Park, and was the subject of a £120million plus add-ons bid from Liverpool on Friday.
However, Newcastle turned it down, wanting £150m.
Isak is due back in training with the Toon today.
Howe said: "I think from my situation, I am very much removed from everything that is happening back home.
"I was made aware there was a bid yesterday. That bid was turned down before I heard about it. There are people back in England dealing with the situation.
"I really don't know what is going to happen next but, from our perspective, we still support Alex in every way and my wish is still that we see him in a Newcastle shirt again.
"I know where he is through the media, so I think from that perspective it's difficult for me to go into any detail.
"The situation is far from ideal. It is quite complex. I think that is all I have got to say."

Hackney turns down Ipswich

Bisseck rejects Crystal Palace move
14:45 , Alex YoungInter Milan defender Yann Bisseck has rejected a move to Crystal Palace.
The Eagles had a £28million bid accepted for Bisseck last month.
However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Bisseck is not interested in a move to the Premier League side.
Inter have now increased their valuation of Bisseck to £34m and are happy to keep the defender.

Isak ready to trigger 'nuclear option' to force Liverpool move

According to The Mirror, such is the Swede's desperation to leave St James' Park for Anfield, he is considering what has been described as a "nuclear" option to force the move. Liverpool’s first bid was rejected on Friday.
Isak is currently training alone in Spain with a personal trainer to keep his fitness up, but The Athletic report that he will return to the UK and is set to resume training with Newcastle next week.
David Ornstein adds that Liverpool’s interest remains ongoing despite reports that they will not make a second bid.

Real Madrid set Rodrygo asking price

Sources close to the situation believe Arsenal may need to make space in the squad by selling before moving for the England international.
There has been interest from elsewhere in Leandro Trossard — who plays in similar positions to Eze — and suggestions that he could leave.
The Gunners held talks with Eze’s representatives earlier this summer and value the versatile forward at less than his £68m release clause, so would negotiate with Palace.

Man Utd and Tottenham in battle to sign Swedish wonderkid

The 16-year-old striker, who plays for AIK Fotboll, is enjoying a burgeoning reputation in his homeland, and recently scored his first senior goal for the club.
Filling has represented Sweden at three separate youth levels and is now attracting interest from the Premier League duo.
The teenager would not be able to move to the Premier League until his 18th birthday in November 2026, but United are said to already have a plan in place for Filling.
INEOS also own Swiss side FC Lausanne-Sport and Filling would be able to join that club on loan until he is ready to link up with United.
Spurs may hope the rise to prominence for Lucas Bergvall could convinced Filling, along with star man Dejan Kuluseveski, could prove key in any talks.
Chelsea in Ardon Jashari U-turn

Fernandes has already rejected advances from Al Hilal this summer, but Saudi rivals Al Nassr are undeterred.
A Bola report that Al Nassr head coach Jorge Jesus wants a reunion with the player whose debut he gave at Sporting debut eight years ago.
The report adds that money is no problem for Al Nassr - which is not exactly surprising - meaning Fernandes could have another decision on his hands.

Tottenham, Man Utd and Newcastle plot Kolo Muani hijack

Kolo Muani spent the second half of last season on loan at Juve from Paris Saint-Germain, having rejected advances from Spurs. and proved a success.
The striker scored five goals in his first three games and finished wtih a flurry at the Club World Cup, so Juve are keen to sign the player permanently.

According to reports in the striker's homeland of Slovenia, Newcastle after won the race for the in-demand striker despite earlier claims that Old Trafford was his preferred destination.

Joao Palhinha set for Tottenham medical

The former Fulham midfielder will undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on a season-long switch.
Palhinha, who had interest from elsewhere, made his intention to join Spurs clear once he heard of their interest in him.
Spurs will cover Palhinha’s full wages and have an option to make the move more permanent next season, reportedly for £26million (€30m).
Palhinha joined Bayern for an initial £43.2m fee last summer, representing a club-record player sale for Fulham.
