Nottingham Forest-linked striker Jerry Yates continues to attract plenty of attention now the summer transfer window is open.
The 24-year-old helped fire Blackpool to promotion to the Championship, but there is still speculation about his future.
The Reds are believed to be among the clubs who have kept tabs on the front man, as boss Chris Hughton looks to add more firepower to his squad.
They are not the only ones said to be keen, however, with Blackburn Rovers, Bristol City and Rangers all reported to have been casting admiring glances his way.
The link with Rovers, in particular, has resurfaced in recent days.
Players contracted
What is set to be a summer of changes at Nottingham Forest started earlier this month with the official announcement of the club’s retained list.
It contained few surprises, with all of those out of contract (Abdoulaye Diallo, Michael Dawson, Michael Hefele, Yuri Ribeiro, Samba Sow, Sammy Ameobi and Glenn Murray) released, and five loanees (Cyrus Christie, Anthony Knockaert, Luke Freeman, James Garner and Filip Krovinovic) returned to their parent teams.
The English Football League have this week confirmed which players are still contracted to clubs, publishing every side’s retained list, which includes youth-team players and scholars.
They say the information is correct as of May 15, 2021.
New role
Former Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood is set to take up a new role.
The 56-year-old has been appointed Northampton Town’s new assistant manager, and will make the move after completing his notice period at Blackpool.
It is a return to the club he led to promotion as manager in 2006, and he will join having been part of the Seasiders’ rise to the Championship as Neil Critchley’s No.2.
"I am really pleased to be rejoining the club and I am hoping to be able to help all departments move forward, but the initial focus will clearly be on the first team,” he told the club website.

Forest are well aware how crucial it is to get their recruitment spot on this year, having come in for criticism on that front in the past.

The Reds have been linked with plenty of potential targets - some of those links with more basis about them than others.
Here’s a look at the players linked so far - not including those who spent last term on loan at the City Ground.
