Trampoline flies into busy road near Bristol as Storm Arwen causes chaos

Residents of Winterbourne were shocked to find a trampoline in the middle of their road when they woke up this morning.

The rogue object flew into Flaxpits Lane overnight as a result of heavy winds, and was captured by a local at around 7.30am (Saturday, November 27.)

Anyone who has lost a trampoline is urged to come forward and collect it.

Posting on a local Facebook group, one resident said: "Anyone lost a trampoline?

"In the road on Flaxpits Lane near Green Dragon."

One woman replied that she "nearly drove into it".

It comes as Storm Arwen is continuing to cause chaos across Bristol.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for our area until 6pm this evening.

The alert warns that travel disruption is expected and there is a danger to life from flying debris.

Buses and trains are being cancelled as a result of obstruction and the M48 Severn Bridge is currently closed due to heavy winds.

Hundreds of homes were left without power this morning.
