Tram operator reported delays on network after car blocked tracks

Tram services across many parts of Nottingham were delayed due to a car blocking tracks near the NG2 tram stop.

Operator NET reported the issue at about 9.30am today and confirmed that it affected Hucknall and Toton Lane services.

According to NET's website, all the operator's zones were affected by the delays, apart from the Clifton and Wilford zones.

A spokesperson for the group confirmed in a statement: "Following a car blocking the tracks at NG2, we are experiencing delays to our Hucknall and Toton Lane services.

"NET apologise for the inconvenience caused to you this morning."

The delays come after a road crash last night between The Forest and Old Market Square caused delays to all services along the tram network.

A normal service resumed at 10.36am
