Trainspotting actor Kevin McKidd sells his Hollywood mansion for over £4million

Actor Kevin McKidd has sold his luxury Hollywood mansion for more than £4million.

The Trainspotting star put the sprawling property in Los Angeles’s Studio City area on the market this year.

The pad boasts five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a swimming pool, spa and guesthouse.

McKidd, 48, previously tried to sell the home in 2020 but failed to find a buyer.

But property records show it was recently bought for £4.1million.

Elgin-born McKidd, who plays Dr Owen Hunt in Grey’s Anatomy, has made a healthy profit on the house after he and his wife Arielle Goldrath bought it for £3.75million in 2019.

Built in 1986, it sits at the end of a quiet street and set on top of a three-car garage.

A brochure for the property reads: “Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, safely tucked behind gates (entirely fenced) and surrounded by parkland with multiple outdoor patios, mature landscaping, grassy lawn, saltwater pool, spa and guesthouse, this home has it all.

“This home is truly a gem.”

After studying drama at Edinburgh’s Queen Margaret College, McKidd gained his big break playing tragic Leith resident Tommy in
the 1996 big screen adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s Train-spotting.

A guest spot on Grey’s Anatomy turned into a lead role.

And since arriving on the series, he has been named one of People Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People.
