Trains travelling to Glasgow Central station delayed after overnight flooding

Trains travelling to and from Glasgow Central station are subject to delays after overnight flooding, Scotrail have confirmed.

Heavy rain has caused the issue between Central and Crossmyloof station in the south side of Glasgow.

Services from Central to Barrhead, East Kilbride and Kilmarnock are affected.

The delays - of up to ten minutes according to Scotrail - are likely to be in place until 9am this morning (Wednesday).

Scotrail say: "Because of heavy rain flooding the railway between Glasgow Central and Crossmyloof Disruption is expected to last until around 09:00 today.

"Train services between may be delayed by up to 10 minutes."
