PEAK-TIME commuters at Glasgow Central are facing major disruption after some services were cancelled due to a signalling fault.
ScotRail confirmed that passengers travelling on some services will face delays due to a fault with the signalling system at Crossmyloof.
A spokesperson for the train operator added that services running through the Crossmyloof station will be cancelled, delayed or revised.
They added that rail tickets will be accepted on McGill's number three bus between Glasgow and Neilston and Barrhead while the services have been cancelled.
One customer told The National: “Its outrageous, they let people on a packed train before people started to get off in frustration.
“The bus stop at Jamaica Street was so busy the driver stopped letting people get on, I was lucky to get on one.
“This keeps happening and it appears nothing is done to prevent it. Commuters are yet again left to deal with the fallout from a supposed signalling issue.”
A ScotRail spokesperson said: “Due to a fault with the signalling system at Crossmyloof, train services running through this station will be cancelled, delayed or revised.”
They added: “We have arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted on McGills No 3 bus between Glasgow and Neilston and Barrhead, just show your valid train ticket to the bus driver when boarding the bus.”
