Training provider offers free online help for workers needing to kickstart career

Many workers will be thinking about a career change or new job when the nation eases out of lockdown.

UK unemployment rates are likely to hit 2.6 million by the middle of 2021, so any new skills will be an important factor in new job hunt.

For those looking to switch industries, build new skills and kick start their career in tech, or just pick up some new skills for their CV, education platform Jolt is offering access to free 45-minute bi-weekly courses.

The course will aid jobseekers with advice on interview technique and other important tips to stand out for selection.

The company helps individuals use their existing skills to kickstart a career in tech regardless of their age, background or experience.

Given 80 per cent of roles in the sector are not technical positions, Jolt aims to get individuals into a career using their existing skills and set them on a new and more fulfilling career path.

In the last two years alone, UK tech employment has grown by 40 per cent - accounting for nine per cent of the national workforce and the creation of 2.93 million jobs.

The free training offer is available for courses on February 4 and more details are available here.
