Training camp for Cardinals, rest of NFL limited to team facilities

Arizona Cardinals fans usually can look forward to watching training camp at State Farm Stadium each year. That will not be the case this year.

According to multiple reports, first reported by WSPA 7Sports in South Carolina, the NFL has told teams they must keep training camps at their team facilities.

The Cardinals will have to hold camp in Tempe at their team headquarters, which means no fans.

The coronavirus pandemic has kept the offseason for the NFL completely virtual thus far. Keeping training camps limited to team facilities, where safety protocols are being developed to keep players safe. Teams will not have to worry about contact with fans or fans attending in large groups.

As it is, it is yet unknown whether fans will be able to attend games in the fall.

Fans will miss out this offseason but, but if it means there is a better chance at NFL games with fans, it will be worth it.

The Cardinals, based on their preseason opener August 15, will be able to report for training camp July 31.
