Train services across Glasgow disrupted after lorry strikes bridge

Train services have been disrupted across Glasgow this afternoon after a lorry struck a bridge.

ScotRail alterted rail users to the incident just after noon, having received reports of a vehicle striking a bridge between Drumry and Drumchapel stations.

They have confirmed that the bridge will need to be examined further by Network Rail Scotland engineers before services can resume.

Services running between Dalmuir and Westerton will be diverted via Yoker for the meantime, while services between Balloch and Airdrie, Dalmuir and Motherwell and Dalmuir and Larkhall have all been affected.
