A trampoline was hit by a train on Fife's railway as Storm Arwen causes havoc in eastern parts of the country.
Residents living near railways have been asked to take extra care to ensure garden furniture is safely secure.
It comes after the trampoline was blown onto the tracks between Burntisland and Aberdour in Fife earlier this afternoon.
An image shared by Network Rail shows the trampoline crushed by the train.
Scotrail confirmed that the train was not damaged in the incident but urged people to be aware of the risk.
Network Rail Tweeted: “Please help us to keep Scotland's Railway safe during #StormArwen. If you live near the railway, please make sure any trampolines, gazebos or other garden furniture are tied down - if they blow on to the tracks, they can pose a major hazard to trains, staff and passengers.”
Scotrail shared the image stating: “That's one of our trains just struck a trampoline between Burntisland and Aberdour there. Fortunately the train wasn't damaged and it was able to continue its journey.
“Please, tie down your garden furniture if you live near the railway.”
Areas across Scotland have been affected by Storm Arwen with winds with speeds of up to 84mph battering some areas.
We previously told how the A1 near Dunbar was closed in both directions for safety while the Clackmannanshire Bridge has also been closed to high sided vehicles.
The Met Office issued a red weather warning in the east with Police Scotland urging people not to travel.
Scotrail have asked anyone stranded as a result of transport delays to get in touch with the platform help points.
The Tweeted: “We're struggling to get replacement transport right now, @PoliceScotland have advised people not to drive in areas covered by the RED weather warning.
“If you're currently stranded, please get in touch with us using a platform help point.”
