Lewes train derailment: 20 people hospitalised with two seriously injured

  • A major incident was declared after a Southern train carrying around 150 passengers derailed near Lewes in East Sussex.
  • Twenty people were taken to hospital, including two who sustained severe injuries and were transferred to a major trauma centre.
  • All passengers have been evacuated from the service travelling from London Victoria to Eastbourne after three carriages overturned.
