Trailer released for Prince Harry's new mental health documentary series

Prince Harry will release a new mental health documentary series with Oprah Winfrey this week.

The Apple TV+ series 'The Me You Can't See' premieres on Friday, May 21 and features contributions from singer Lady Gaga, Syrian refugee Fawzi, and DeMar DeRozan of the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs.

In the trailer, Harry says in conversation with Winfrey: “To make that decision to receive help is not a sign of weakness.

"In today’s world more than ever, it is a sign of strength.”

Footage of a young Harry during his late mother Diana, Princess of Wales’s funeral procession features in the 2.36-minute promo, which was released on the Archewell website.

The Duchess of Sussex later makes a brief appearance, coming into shot at Harry’s side.

Meghan is smiling and wearing a T-shirt printed with the slogan “Raising the Future”.

The Sussexes’ son Archie is also shown sitting on his mother’s lap later on – in footage filmed around the time of his first birthday.

On the show, Prince Harry said: "We are born into different lives, brought up in different environments, and as a result are exposed to different experiences. But our shared experience is that we are all human.

"The majority of us carry some form of unresolved trauma, loss, or grief, which feels - and is - very personal.

"Yet the last year has shown us that we are all in this together, and my hope is that this series will show there is power in vulnerability, connection in empathy, and strength in honesty."

The Me You Can't See is co-produced by Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey and has been created with the collaboration of multiple mental health experts in a bid to reduce the stigma surrounding mental wellbeing.

The series will be available to stream exclusively on Apple TV.
