The latest trailer for upcoming action movie Spider-Man: No Way Home has been released.

Next month, British actor Tom Holland will return for the third standalone film in the latest Spider-Man franchise.

The trailer was unveiled in the early hours of Wednesday in the UK.

It confirms the movie will be filled with cameo performances from historic characters - including villains, Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina) and Jamie Foxx’s Electro.

Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) and Lizard (Rhys Ifans) will also return.

Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange appears throughout, with Zendaya - who is dating Holland in real life - returning as leading lady MJ.

At the end of the most recent film – 2019’s Far From Home – Spider-Man’s identity was revealed to the world.

The trailer shows how the newly unmasked Peter Parker struggles to adapt with the attention and he turns to Doctor Strange for help. However, his spell goes wrong, unleashing multi-dimensional chaos.

“We tampered with the stability of space-time,” Doctor Strange tells Peter.

“The multiverse is a concept about which we know frighteningly little.”

It comes weeks after Holland swapped his Spider-Man suit to become Percy Pig this Christmas as part of Marks & Spencer’s bumper festive campaign.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in the UK on 15 December – two days earlier than the US.
