The Trailblazers and their star guard Damian Lillard have agreed to a six-year, $258 million super max contract extension, according to The Athletic and ESPN. The agreement, however, is not yet official.
The 28-year-old has spent his last six seasons in Portland.
Last season he averaged 25.8 points, 6.9 assists and 4.6 rebounds during the regular season. He emerged as the Trailblazers' playoff hero after making an almost unimaginable buzzer-beating 3-point shot from deep to lift the Blazers over the Thunder and advance to the semifinals.
Lillard's current contract, a five-year deal he signed in 2016, is for just under $140 million.
