Trail bike rider seriously injured at Kitchener

A TRAIL bike rider has been seriously injured in a crash at Kitchener on Saturday afternoon.

A Westpac rescue helicopter spokesman said the chopper was called to the area about 1pm after reports a male trail bike rider, 23, had suffered serious injuries after a fall.

Paramedics treated the man for "multiple traumatic injuries" before the Westpac rescue helicopter critical care medical team arrived.

The man was stabilised and flown to John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
