Tragic teen who died at Dublin equestrian centre will be 'sadly missed' as tributes pour in

The owner of the equestrian centre where a teenager died yesterday has said the victim will be "sadly missed".

Gardai rushed to the scene at around 2pm on Wednesday at Greenogue Equestrian Centre in Dublin.

Members of the Fire Brigade and the National Ambulance Service also attended the scene of the incident at Tay Lane in Rathcoole.

The 15-year-old girl suffered injuries during an "exercise event" at the centre.

She was brought to Children's Health Ireland in Crumlin, but sadly passed away.

Taking to Facebook, the owner of the equestrian centre Lucy McCarthy paid tribute to the tragic teen.

She said: "Following yesterday’s tragic accident in the equestrian centre, our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the young rider involved. She will be sadly missed by everyone in the equestrian community."

The Health and Safety Authority is expected to carry out an examination of the scene on Thursday.
