Tragic Scots wrestler Adrian 'Lionheart' McCallum who committed suicide attempted to save a neighbour in a fatal blaze.
Natalie Merry died at the her house in Ayr after flames ripped through the property in January.
Her boyfriend Alistair Innes 22, and her mother Jennifer Merry, 49, managed to escape the inferno at the two-storey house in York Street.
Wrestler McCallum spoke to the Daily Record back in January about his heroic attempts to save the 18-year-old from the inferno.
At the time, he said: “I became aware of a boy hanging from the top window so I yelled at him to jump. I caught him as he came down and then tried to break down the front door.
“The poor girl was still inside. I could hear her screaming.”
The 36-year-old died on Wednesday after posting a final tragic tweet about living for the 'last time'.
The heavyweight veteran wrote: "One day you will eat your last meal.
"You will smell your last flower, you will hug your friend for the last time.
"You might not know it's the last time, that's why you must do everything you love with passion.”
The wrestling legend, originally from Coventry, was hailed as a 'central figure of the golden generation of Scottish wrestlers' who had a 'lion's heart inside and outside the ring'.
Adrian was the owner of Ayrshire-based Pro Wrestling Elite and coated at Glasgow Pro Wrestling Asylum (GPWA).
