An experienced diver who tragically died after getting into difficulty off the Orkney coast has been formally identified by police.
David Pleace, from Derby, was reported missing after failing to return from a dive in Scapa Flow at around 5.30pm on Sunday.
A large-scale search operation was launched in a bid to find the 57-year-old with dozens of rescuers from HM Coastguard and the RNLI spending hours at sea.
The rescue mission tragically became a recovery after a body was discovered on Monday.
Police Scotland have determined that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
