Tragic Jeremy Kyle guest Steve Dymond battled depression and was accused of cheating on fiancee

Tragic Jeremy Kyle guest Steve Dymond died just days just after filming his appearance on the show amid claims he had cheated on his fiancee.

The ITV show has been pulled from the schedule indefinitely following news of construction worker Steve's death, which came around a week after the episode was filmed.

Mirror Online can reveal Steve, from Gosport, had battled depression in the past and was having problems with his partner Jane Callaghan.

He is believed to have gone on the show in a desperate bid to prove he hadn't done the dirty on her.

The episode which featured his story was dropped and The Jeremy Kyle Show has been put on indefinite hiatus, with old episodes even being ditched form the ITV Hub.

In the days before the show was filmed, Jane shared a series of heartbreaking posts about infidelity, suggesting she was convinced Steve had been unfaithful to her.

One of her posts was a shared quote which stated: "Cheating doesn't start with sex, it starts with sneaky conversations".

Another referenced chastity belts for cheating men.

Jane also shared with pals about her appearance on The Jeremy Kyle Show, declaring: "Oh definitely [I'll let you know when it's on TV]... Going to let everyone know.

One of her friends responded: "Hopefully he is recognised and no one will go near him again after listening to his lies.

On May 2nd, Jane posted ominously: "Please just let me wake up from this nightmare I feel sick to my stomach".

Earlier this year, Steve had posted a series of messages about a heartbreaking battle with depression.

One of his posts stated: "So many suffer alone. Let's send love today to every person who is battling depression."

He had also previously shared plenty of posts about how much he loved Jane, with one stating: "You mean so much to me".

Steve shared it along with an image of a couple and the caption: "Of all the things I've started, loving you is the one that I'd never want to finish."

There are currently no more details about Steve's death and Jane has yet to comment publicly.

In a statement released this morning, ITV confirmed it was launching a probe into today's scheduled episode of The Jeremy Kyle Show, which is believed to have featured Steve and Jane.

An ITV spokeswoman said: "Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.

"ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured.

"Given the seriousness of this event, ITV has also decided to suspend both filming and broadcasting of The Jeremy Kyle Show with immediate effect in order to give it time to conduct a review of this episode of the show."
