Tragic Emma Faulds' pals pay tribute to 'gorgeous' girl on 40th birthday

Friends yesterday paid tribute to tragic Emma Faulds on what would have been her 40th birthday.

Touching messages were left on social media to mark the milestone – six months after Emma’s body was found in a Dumfries and Galloway forest after a six-week search.

One message said Emma, a care worker from Kilmarnock, would be spending the special day in heaven with her beloved West Highland terrier Maverick, who died in October after leading his owner’s coffin at her funeral.

Ross Willox, 40, is expected to appear at the High Court in Glasgow tomorrow charged with murdering Emma.

Susan Maxwell wrote on Facebook yesterday: “Happy 40th to our gorgeous girl. We love and miss you so much every day. Life just isn’t the same without you.

“Love Forever ma wee Fauldsy No1.”

At Emma’s funeral in July, her eulogy heard her family had been planning a big celebration for her birthday before she went missing on April 28.
