A 29-year-old woman has died after her car careered off the road in a horror crash near Forfar.
She was travelling on the B9134 Brechin to Forfar road in Angus at around 10.15pm last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene near to Balglassie following the crash, however the driver sadly died as a result of the collision.
Another occupant of the Audi A4, a 30-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries.

The woman's next of kin have been made aware.
Crash investigators were in attendance and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
