A motorcyclist has been killed in a tragic crash in East Ayrshire.
The 32-year-old man died at the scene when his bike, a blue Yamaha, collided with a tractor.
Police are now appealing for witnesses following the fatal incident near Stewarton yesterday.
The collision happened around 11.10am on the B778 near to North Kilbride Lodge.
Police Sergeant Kevin Blackley, of the road policing unit in Ayrshire, said: “Our enquiries are continuing into the full circumstances surrounding this collision and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have any relevant dash-cam footage, to please contact us as soon as possible.
“The road was closed for around six hours with diversions in place, and I would like to thank the public for their patience while emergency services attended.
