Police have confirmed they have discovered the body of missing Irvine woman Natalie Kelly.
The 53-year-old was reported missing yesterday with an appeal for information as to her whereabouts subsequently issued.
Natalie was last seen at her home in the town's Campsie Way around 1.30am on Saturday morning and it was believed she left the property some time afterwards.
Residents in the area were asked to check sheds and outbuildings as part of the search operation with concerns growing for her welfare.
Sadly, police today announced that Natalie's body had been found in Irvine's Pladda Avenue around 9.40am this morning.
Natalie's relatives have been made aware of the development.
An Ayrshire Police Division spokesperson added: "Natalie’s family and Police Scotland thank the public for their assistance."
