Tragedy as man's body found on A650 in Drighlington as police issue statement

A body of a man was found by West Yorkshire Police officers, it has been revealed.

Officers were called to the A650 Drighlington yesterday (Thursday) following reports of concern for the safety of a man.

When they got to the scene, a body of a male was sadly found.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Police were called to reports of concern for safety of a male on the A650, Drighlington, at 214pm on Thursday 2 September.

"Officers attended and found the body of a male.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a file has been prepared for the coroner.”

The A650 is a main route through West Yorkshire connecting Keighley in Bradford to Wakefield on the eastern side of West Yorkshire.
