A four-week-old baby boy has died after being found unconscious in a house in Kirkintilloch.
Emergency services were called to a house in Willowbank Gardens in the East Dunbartonshire town at 4am on Sunday morning.
An infant was found unconscious inside the property.
He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he died a short time later.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
“A post mortem examination will take place in due course.
“Enquires remain ongoing.
“A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
