The body of a man was pulled from the sea on Wednesday afternoon (April 5) as emergency services swarmed the area.
Tragedy struck after police received reports of a body being found in the sea near to Blackpool Promenade. On arrival, the emergency services recovered the body from the water.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, with current enquiries not leading police to believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, reports LancsLive.

A number of police and ambulance vehicles were seen parked up at the scene, beside the Central Promenade in the seaside resort.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: "We were called around 12pm today (Wednesday, April 5) to a report a body had been found in the sea off Blackpool Promenade.
"Emergency services attended the scene with the body of a man recovered from the water. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner in due course.
"Our thoughts are with the man's family at this sad and difficult time."
